this album should be locked in a museum somewhere it aged like fine wine. a 30th Anniversary of remastered songs with unreleased songs from that same era would be nice

This was a classic album. Koffi Olomide was starting to build momentum towards being the legend he is now. V12 is an all time great. Koffi sang great and more importantly, he had a solid choir team of Modogo Abrahambwa, Suzuki, Eric Tutsi and the late Babia Ndonga Chokoro. Babia was the one who stood out in this album in my humble opinion. Like I said on another post, Babia died too soon.

Koffi Olomide needs to do an interview and go into details about this great album and how he got to get this album going.

In Europe, it was on the 9th. From the early 1990s onward, albums were always released first in France and  a few days or a week later in the two Congos. This was because they started being produced in Europe instead of Congo, which had always been the case before. I often wonder how Congolese music would have evolved if the late Verckys’ label, Vévé, hadn’t gone bankrupt. Would other lesser-known bands have had the chance to break through like Wenge? Would established bands like Zaiko once again split up? Would he be forced to give artists proper money, for the way labels like Sonodisc and Sylllart were coming with money to Congolese artists ?

I am sure that the Congolese music-scene would have been different if labels like VEVE, Editions Parions, Molende Kwi Kwi (aka' Mol Mol), etc. were still active. It was a huge mistake from Verckys  to build a large vinyl record factory in the late 1980s while Europe was slowly moving toward the compact disc.

For me the most complete album of the genre start to finish.

The elegance of the rhumba arrangements, attention to details of the synthesizers, variation of songs while seemlessly flowing from one song to the next song (e.g Etat Civil to Dossier Du Jour) set the bar that few, including himself have reached since
