Title: FEMALE DANCERS AFTER LIMELIGHT

The death of Chouchou Mbayo got me thinking, female dancers fade in to oblivion until we hear of their unfortunate occurance.
The opportunities for transition are very limited, get married and become a housewife, media, religion,oldest profession or dance tutor.I have seen Merville as a dance tutor, Muana Nsuka has started her singing lessons while others have tried running a band.
While this is the case I believe there are other unexplored opportunities within and without the groups.

Dancers are just a means to an end. Maybe things have changed now...But I think most of these band leaders/owners are on the DL, sexually abusing the girls. but then, we are in Africa. No one says shit to anyone, and if you complain, you're in more trouble. I've always thought the Fioti Fioti girls were very young to be doing some of the dance routine they did. I wonder what Papa Wemba (RIP) thought about that or if he left that up to his staff. The only one I remember having respect for his dancers is Wazekwa. He dresses them as if they are going to church for the music videos, and no explicit booty shaking.
I still remember Kakol beating the shit out of Linda. I wonder whatever happened to that matter.

lol until today linda herself defends that he has the right to correct her if she acts weird
that issue is deep,lack of rights for employees in any type of work not just music runs deeppppppppp in a lot of congolese people's veins,its not your rights you are done a godly favour to be hired so accept everything and shut up

Just finding out my favourite dancer Chimene Dior (BCBG) got married to the footballer Kabananga from the below video comments. She disappeared very quickly and did not even tour.
