Like many videos of Mudjona Dobbs, this video also used to be on INA Congo's original channel. I hope one day to see the full footage again. There was a moment when Koffi came in wearing a jellabah (boubou) as he had been invited and performed two songs, until his death, Emeneya kept reminding people about it, when talking about this Paris fara-fara. There was also a part of Viva la Musica, which I believe was Volume 1, but I can’t remember clearly since it was decades ago. In this footage, Wemba is singing Ngonda, Fatouma and Kimpiatu together with Victoria Eleison. Late Bipoli na Fulu also joined them in the singing-section, as did guitarist Bongo Wende (RIP), who was at that moment part of Viva la Musica. Late Bojack Bongo Wende had played lead on different Victoria Eleison songs between 1984 and 1986 and it was not a surpise to see him playing lead on these songs during the event, despite being part of the rival-band.
This concert at Le Bataclan was a rematch, as Papa Wemba asked for it, after having performed against each other in Villejuif, where Makolin le Géant and Déese Mukangi came as guests

What a great concert. I loved the chemistry between Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba. But I am left with two questions.
1) Was this concert taken after or before Emeneya did his own remix of Ngonda and other songs?
2) How do you think Emeneya felt when Papa Wemba added the line "Soki nawei, bakolela Bana Victoria"?

I believe this event was just afterthe release of the famous remix-album that Kester made from his old Viva-songs. Because the event was during summer just before the trip to South Corea and Japan and the album itself got released during summer 1991. It's rare to see a remix album receive the big amount of succes that Emeneya's album had. It was from this event that speculations started about an upcoming duo-album. But it never came as both Wemba and Emeneya kept asking alot of money for it, when producers/labels would contact them.

I think that Emeneya was feeling very proud. Before the events of Villejuif and Bataclan, both guys did around 8 concerts in december 1990 and january 1991. They performed together in Kinshasa by giving concerts at Palais du Peuple (Salle de Congres and l'Esplanade) and Intercontinental (Parking and Salon Zaire) in Kinshasa, Brazzaville and Matadi. In all those concerts, when Wemba just sung "Soki nawei, bakolela nga na Bana Viva".Thinking about Wemba's vocal, it's really sad how things went with the fans when Emeneya and Wemba died

I really wonder what made Dj Emilo stop uploading full cassettes. He has the tape of Emeneya vs Wemba at Villejuif in his possession, but he just prefer to put extracts on his storyline
