Badass generique, shame it did not happen when there was kabose theo mbala and co still there, would have been a classic still playing till today in african bars, until today you cant spend a week in abidjan or lomé without hearing the "kuma kukiele" generique or the other one or jeu muke
-
Man I agree. Wish we had generiques of that level these days.

This is where I blame the donors. They have ruined the drive to make better generiques. Unfortunately, the donors don't want sebene orientated songs. I think if we have had a few sebene orientated songs, then I feel like generiques like this great song you posted would be more common. That is my take. I want to hear from others.

and a single atalakou at that...anyone knows who the atalakou is? he has range...

The name of the atalaku is Jose Kisalu, he also animated in Qui Est Derrière Toi of Ferre, very underrated in my opinion

Jose Kisalu actually sounds very similar to Theo Mbala. I wonder if Jose was influenced by Theo?
-
Isn't it the same atalaku who was in Big Stars reserve team and used to copy Theo Mbala, becoming at some point part of team A and performing around Africa with Defao alonside Bourman Maze, Mbetenge Domingo and co ? and like most of them returning one by one to Kinshasa ?
