Kekekekeke....Ferre Gola can't sing a whole song alone and expect it to sound ok......i have said it time and again...he has no formula to make a song sound different...

Every roumba sound exactly the same....it starts of with a 1min or less intro then the second part drops in, like Koffi's songs routine but worst. This album melodies all sound too similar, its like im listening to a continuation of the previous songs.

At this moment in time,we cannot get any constructive criticism about Ferre from any Fally or Werra fan because Ferre has hit your Presidents hard,sango na bino epanzani!! :lol:

No DJ SLY Ferre is a good artist but this time round he is kind of missed it somewhere.......how do you have songs sounding all the same and doing like 98% of the lyrics....!!!!!!.Man some sort of selfishness

infact ferre has given loose chance for his competitors to go ahead of him. at times you wonder whether the whole band does not sit down and listen to their music before they are released? and how they could not detect that all the music were the same. Again have a feeling that ferre may not have blessings because he seems not to appreciate any of his mentors that is Werra and Koffi.

Ken, I believe the band sits and listens to the music before it is released and decide it is the best thing they have ever heard. Even the people around them tell them the same. Is there any politician, even one whose chances are nil, whose supporters don't heap praises on? Now I am yet to listen to the album more than once and therefore I cannot pass my judgement on it. But so far I see where the critics of this album are coming from. Please note that I have always been a big Ferre Gola fan; but I am now losing my patience, not only with Ferre, but with all these modern musicians who do ballad albums without the solo guitar, human drummers and whole-band participation. So Ferre and all his competitors are nicely hurdled in the same boat.
The biggest issue many of us here have is that we don't understand Lingala, so the music, especially the instrumentation and variety of vocals, is what keeps us interested. If there is not much variation in those two elements, then we quickly get tired of the music. So far I find those elements lacking in Boite Noire. I will give my ruling on the album soon.

This album is pure garbage....I just don't understand how no one from the whole band and his camp not realise this album arrangements are all over the place....songs starting off good and then out of nowhere and new melody drops in with no continuation whatsoever. Im not even a Fally fan but Ferre is so far behind that people should stop the comparing because its so embarrassing to even try compare them. Ferre don't understand music

The nail has been hit, message clear. I said it once, ferre gola's habit of singing alone, without serious melody, is killing him. He has completely forgotten about sebene, the subject he learnt from wenge and this is were I first began hating his music....Congolese music is being killed with young ones behaving like this...soon it will be Gino, Chai etc

jesus de nuance. his title lets you know exactly what he's about lol his strengths are in those subtleties and variating on his strong points. i can definitely understand it becoming monotonous for some though. just pointing that out lol
i am still excited to hear the rest of the album. so far i've heard a total of 5 songs some i like more than others.

Kindly clarify what you mean here? Everyone keeps saying Ferre does not appreciate and respect his mentors especially Werrason,what makes you say so? On his very frist album he mentioned them on his album,on this new album Ferre has again mentioned Werrason,he did not remove the part where he mentions Werrason despite their relationship having gone really bad recently. Werrason has authorised his staff,Sankara de Kunta to be precise,to insult Ferre daily,Ferre has only responded once and it's hurt Werrason big time,it's Ferre who should be asking for recognition and mutual respect.

I have been listening to the album ever since it was released, I have made it clear what I think of it and I have stated where I feel Ferre went wrong and it's not only Ferre who is having that problem,it's most of the 5th generation musicians.
On this album,Ferre has literally adopted Papa Lutumba's style and yes,there is little variation in the melodies but on the vocals,he's done an excellent job,i can only compare what Ferre has done this time to what Madilu used to do,sticking to one style and singing his heart out but yes and his fans everywhere are happy,he does not need to please Fally Ipupa's fans,it's us his fans who are happy with what Ferre has done and we can tell the difference in the song because we listen everyday.

I'm not a Fally fan nor Ferre....I just like good music with different melodies which Ferre is struggling to produce....Monotony na Monotony

No, I appreciate Fally's work,he's not an exceptionally god singer but he sings well enough,i don't see the reason why I should hate him,i can hate some of his music but not him personally,he's only trying to survive so whatever sells for him he should stick to that.

Kekekekekeke, Sly fungola matoi na miso.....criticism should be given an ear my brother, Ferre Gola is not a bad artist, he is good at singing, however, he lacks that ear for the exact sound that should go with his voice.....in addition, Ferre and his style is suitable for supplementing other singers and not to go miles on a song alone, No!!....it becomes boring. What the boy should do is:
throw away his pride, his thinking that his voice only can do the trick....then bring on musicians like Tshimanga or even Makaba to combine solo, bass and rythm for him....that package like what we got from Vita Imana long time ago while he was in WMM. This can make it for him, both in balad and sebene. Ferre can become untouchable with that kind of thing. On the other hand, I have never come in the open to say, I am a Fally Ipupa fan.....I just find his music danceable and better than Ferre Gola at least!!
I am at a meeting with Alex M....and I told him exactly what I am saying...
