exactly even celeo,once he starts "nayembeli x nayembeli y" i just switch the interview off because this is yet another 10 15 rumbas with zero promotion and with the burden of a silent decision that no rumba from him will ever succeed sang alone so that he keeps depending on natural singers to have a couple of songs people even give a chance and also him making no effort about his voice thinking that kind of 2eme voix his destroyed voice gives now is the way to go

It frustrates me seeing the pillars of Congolese animation continuously prioritising rumbas in place of what we know they are good at.

I agree. I’ve been calling out Celeo for years for always preferring to do rumbas over Dance songs when his rumbas aren’t exactly memorable.
For me I have to blame Tutu Caludji for this because he reverted back to singing whilst still at his peak and then when he went solo he only kept singing and other atalakus have followed suit. When the likes of Brigade and Celeo are called for a feature is it for rumba? No it’s always for dance songs so why do they keep doing it? Useless guys

pure facts,the odd prestigious cameos them 4 (bill brigade celeo cnn) have been getting at arena's and co all came because of their past animations,or in the case of brigade the feat with dadju for whatever reason,they have to sing for pretre oyo azo regner mikoloyo na kolwezi and this and that while there is more than enough singers who will already do the same with far more success at the end aswell
they could use genta's tactic to make money,doing animation with names of donors for 1K each name or more depending of the status of the person wanting it(for example ngobila) they'll collect the same money and surely more with the showcase and co it would bring to them
