Definitely one of the best singers BCBG had at the time. Today BCBG is much powerful on vocals, we only have a couple of passenger ie Rio and Kibens, JDL is okay and don't forget the young musicians who have joined in the last few years and months.

by the way this cd Anti terrorism, would be better if segiun mignon played the way I like it to be played. You can get the lovely solo done by ficarre and patuo but the drums were weak.

Seguin played very well and the sound was perfect.
Ficarre only played on his song. The generique had Moleso, Mboka Liya and Patou Solo closed it ie all 3 of them played on it. Moleso played solo on most of the other songs with Mboka Liya playing on 2 or so including this one BK Le Senateur.

He's been in Europe since 2006 when Wenge BCBG came to perform after the self imposed ban JB put himself on, he left together with Mboka Liya, Richard Mukena and others including dancers.
Moleso should be in Paris I think (based on the photo updates I see on his facebook page)

This is very good music. I had lost all my interest in JB's music a while ago. Once Blaise Bula and Alain Mpela left BCBG, JB lost the plot of vocalists completely. He ended up with a bunch of squeaking tenors, who could not complement his voice, and the whole vocal unit of the band was in a mess. That is where Werra beat him by balancing the act. You cannot have a vocal unit of only tenors, some of them trying to sing the bass parts and ending up sounding like sleepy frogs. Extra Musica had powerful vocals and choruses by the spectral balance they achieved from the vocal ranges of baritones like Herman and Doudou, through the middle ranges of Bastin etc up to the tenors of Papy Jah and oxygen. On most of his recent albums, JB has not had a good bass or baritone singer and that has thrown the balance into shambles. This guy above sings very well and JB needs to do more and incorporate such in his band.

You're 100% right about the balancing of vocals, it's one thing JB does not seem to understand and has failed to do however, he actually has the right balance of singers to do the work and for the particular position left void by the departure of this guy Richard Mukena,there's currently 3 first team singers who can fill the position effectively the first choice or perfect one being Abel des Charme as number then there's Zulema and Atshuda

But jb has not had insufficient singers, he fails to fire a friend to accommodate good talent, good voices. Rio, kibense, jdl and chai who left, have killed bcbg badly. Secondly, his music is not heavy since the depature of titina. Low drums engulfed by high solo and singing birds.

indeed there is many bass singers in bcbg,abel,atshuda,sakoko,zulema,hugo boss of bana boma,kibens used to have that role and was doing it well but now aims to sing higher so there is something lacking but in balle de match they have corrected it

EMO, firing kibens,JDL or Rio is not the solution,it is managing the staff he has artistically that beats him.
We all know Kibens and JDL are mediocre singers but they are not the only singers JB Mpiana has got, he's got too many good singers but the problem he has is that he's not really serious with his music career, he's so relaxed as he seems content with what he does because he definitely knows there's something wrong with his music because fans have asked him to fire those chaps several times before,at one point he even stopped a concert and left because fans asked that he fires the same so called mikuli.
As he's recruited quite a number of new musicians who have gone on tv to show their talent, let's wait and see what the next album will be like with new musicians.

I think he simply doesn't understand the art of music much all he wants is good singers and it doesn't matter how he arranges the music.
Am surprised you think Erick Menthe is not good, when he was with Academia prior to joining BCBG he did very well as a solo vocalist so it brings us back to JB's skills as an arranger, he doesn't seem to know how to use the musicians he's got effectively and the hierarchy system of giving more solo vocals to old timers makes things worse.
