Washington Libango is now a respected leader and president of Generation Wenge Musica here in Nairobi and does not do drugs. Spoken to him some weeks a go, He is very determined to make his band well known outside Kenya.

probably the influence of people around him at that time because he was very young when we knew him in tonya tonya
i perfectly recall adolphe saying to crowd during a concert that he was fed up of giving him advice and they should give him aswell
so glad he has turned it around hopefully he will go back a bit to kinshasa sometimes, it will be nice for his image

Have just talked to him a few minutes ago and he told me that he's now doing videos for his new album which will be ready in a couple of months. He is well determined to release a good album. About visiting Congo, I'll tell him to do so, so as to clear that air.
