It's a love song, it's about a lover pleading with their estranged lover. The chorus goes like ''they sat on a round table and decided that me and you should go our separate ways and you listened to them and you refused to listen to what I had to say, that is not the way to end things, love is slowly fading.''  It's mainly that love is about two people so the lover should not listen to outsiders as others are happy(partying) that the two are breaking up but for the two lovers their hearts will be hurting as the love still remains in heart.
