Correction...Best Album of the past 2 years...I carefully listen to it again,and realised he just benched Fally's Power,Ferre's BN,Jb' s SS,Anything Koffi made since Monde Arabe,Anything Wezekwa made since Sautez Deja, anything Mr.Perfect made since I cant remember(he should stck ti Congolese Sebene than his Ivorian things,and deleting youtube videos;wink) lol...gotta love Barbara's,Meje and Jossart ft song

Hmmmmmmmmm, this album is the bomb for proper rhumba lovers!!!! Papa Wemba did his home work,i love the duet with JB Mpiana.
Koffi might have to go back to studio and re-do his album!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

It's because it's strictly a rhumba album, I have now listened to most of the excellent songs, most of them end with a semi-sebene ie just like in the old days.
Anyone thinking of dancing should not expect dance music on this CD, only those who have ears to listen and appreciate rhumba.

I don't get it, some people say there needs to be more sebens in Congolese music when there is very little in this 25 song album and people say this is a good album.

To make it easier for you, Papa Wemba is 65 years old and the music he's been doing over the years has been typical rhumba and tradition modern Congolese music so if you're expecting him to be competing with clan Wenge and 5th generation musician then you'll wait a million years. This is purely a rhumba album and after this will be a normal album which will have sebene too so let those who enjoy rhumba enjoy the album. It is the same for Koffi, when he started he was doing ballads so those of us who know him know that he's not a sebene musician but he tries has been the only competitor to clan Wenge which introduced a different kind of sebene from the one clan Zaiko brought so don't expect too much of these older musicians.

exactly basically he would not even had the generique on that album,its fans who requested it because it would be strange an album without at least a dancing song
papa is already recording viva's album with tocha bass and co having songs
back on album,mama amazone got dedicated two wonderful songs,seems like the more they get old the stronger their love story is( hitting the 50 years together in a couple of years)

I am really impressed with the work he's cut out on this album, I won't be surprised if he gets several awards for it. This is way better than the previous rhumba album Notre Pere.

Archos I'm sorry for the pestering but is it possible if we can have the credits? Not a fan of rumba but Papa Wemba is a man to respect massively for his art really this guy is beyond a legend his icon and monument in african music and Maitre d'ecole excellent album.

i dont have the cd in my hands yet but there is patcheko,guylain madova,archange épee bleue, djo le noir and some europe guys like djodo bayinge and luciana as singers,tocha bass,guy nsangue on bass as well,yves ndjock rhythm bass and arrangement, costa pinto on rhythm, zamba on lead guitar, the original paritition of the song chasse a l homme was by daddy bola i think they modified it,there is a brasilian guitarist,etienne mbappe on bass,patrick bebey on piano,cedric ceda synthé on keyboards,daddy puff on drums,likayabu mbonda,atalakus biscuit des ecoliers and bob djamusket
