why is it that BCBG musicians rarely leave or join other bands?
-
Besides their friends and family Who's going to buy Rio,Kibens and JDL's albums??

the senior guys..well we have discussed before but what of the 2nd team some guys have been in the second team for almost ten years..
-
What about the second team guys?
-
I think the reason is the team spirit, the family relationship they have behind the stage, many guys have been asked in interviews why the do not leave(or when they leave they still have a foot in like boguys and alain mpela) they said they know they wont find the same spirit anywhere else so its hard to abandon it unless you are very determined to go solo like djino and chai
except the new generation of guys like bana boma and co who got lucky to get exposure very fast, musicians who are in or who want to join bcbg know in bcbg its step by step so they are prepared for long term in their head hence not tempted to join other groups because they are not turned quickly enough into stars
a guy like rio is gone long ago in his mind but just does not have courage to decide from now on he does not go to bcbg concerts or rehearsals anymore and leaves

aha I get it....I thought the pay was good.
-
not the pay,it will be false to say they get zero from the group but most of their money comes from outisde of the group, like everywhere
-
ah ok..it is just that these guys are not easily unsettled. Wmm wanted NF..Rio wanted by Koffi and rumours sometimes ago of Papa Wemba wanting Atshuda...why don't other groups try and steal them? If you have noticed forexample any ggroup would wish to have artists like Didier Kalombo but he remains in BCBG even not featuring as first choice . People who joined groups with Blaise Esabe.drumists others are now main drumists in their groups not Blaise yet he is comfortable in BCBG .
This is not written out of frustration but desire to know what is so good in BCBG that you stick it out.
what happened to Licha Shombo joining BCBG ?
-
what happened is that jb himself called wazekwa to tell him licha wanted to join him so it created conflict between wazekwa and licha, like it happened earlier with shella mputu and adolphe
even dancer mbiliadama had to convince him she was a free agent for long otherwise he was not getting her as the group she was in was maison mere,he seems very strict with that policy

I think that old guards should make a session Album like in the old Days we Saw Zaiko(Matima,Meridjo,Bapius,Roxy,Teddy Sukami,Yvon Kabamba,Jp-Buse in the late 70's and 80's.Baroza,Adamo,Malage,Endho,Motingia in the 90's) or Viva
I'm not a fan of too crowded band...just take a look at their(BCBG &wmm)Wiki pages. How many singers?atalakus..

...I think Patou should leave and link up with Jetset; maybe then Werra and Tilapia beef would get spicy...

That made no sense at all, The Jetset and Maison Mere de Vieux Cultivon la haine beef is already heated and Patou is in Wenge Bcbg and Werra wouldn't get mad it would be Jb Mpiana the father of Wenge Musica 4x4 Tout-Terrain
-
Didier Kalombo..he did a solo project..why did he return? what is his current status?
-
he probably realised he was wasting his time in europe so he took a step back, now he is a member of the group who got his song on balle de match, the arrival of tigo cash did not do him any favor though to feature more

...its not about Werra or Jb getting mad but rather Ferre getting guitarist that can hold their own instead of running their mouth. In short I'd like to see Arc and Patou go toe to toe.

kaisari Freddy Marchouse is a very guitarist who speaks nothing but the truth unlike Werra's sidekick Mukeba.

...the truth is he needs to create at least to the level of Tshimanga ;D...
-
Marchouse talks a lot "mbanga ya danze" sometimes he over exaggerates like most musicians

No he doesn't everything he says about that band is 100% correct.
