Title: Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca
Post by: Djodjo B on October 01, 2014, 12:39

I am sure some of you never heard of Ricardo Lemvo. He is a Congolese Singer (of Angolan descent) playing Cuban Salsa, Merengue, Samba, Son, Rumba, etc. I think he is based in Los Angeles, California. He sings in Kigongo, Enlgish, Spanish, Portuguese, Lingala and French. He’s also fluent in all these languages. In the third video (Lincoln Center - New York), you’ll see the great Huit Kilo Nseka on Solo Guitar.
Here is a concert I recorded in Montreal (2007). The Guy playing percussion is his Arranger; he plays many instruments (Piano, Guitar, congas, flute, etc). His name is Jesus “El Niño” Perez…Ricardo calls him “KURU YAKA”.

Enjoy!
