like i said before,despite having two experienced soloists in ficarre and saint paolo jb wanted a young soloist to fill patou's role

Congratulations jb mpiana salvatora de la patria mukulu waba nkuru. Just that it has taken patous departure for your head to be cracked open to allow in, common sense. This is good except the new soloist needed someone also new on drums. It will not make sense to have an energetic soloist being supported by a lazy drums man, no way. Jb, re-think and dispose off, segiun. Archos, please tell jb in lingala, what I am saying.

He was not anymore with kabosé, actually wanted to join bcbg earlier in march but was refused because of being with kabosé but then then he decided to leave and be tested in bcbg months later

The boy sounds good, based on this song alone I can tell that he plays the style I especially like, those sharp solos so good replacement for Patou, I hope he keeps close to St Paolo,Padaché and Frenchie so that they polish up his skills as I have no confidence in Ficarre on modern soloing so he can't teach him much!!! ;D ;D ;D
I have seen that EMO mentioned that this is the same boy on the album 'Election' I don't think so, on Election the soloist mentioned is Mboka Mboka so unless that is this boy's nickname then so far this was his first significant work so we need to listen to him now that he's hard his break in a leading band like BCBG but am certain that he's got what it takes because JB Mpiana usually recruits excellent instrumentalists although he stops them from being wild, he likes them to play according to the way they recorded in studio and that's one thing I hate about JB,he doesn't let his musicians show their individual skills.
If I remember well, I heard that JB Mpiana has previously assisted Kabosé and Jitrois with finance for their studio recording so maybe Kabosé wouldn't be so angry since he's always got on well with JB outside music and especially if the boy left his band a long time ago,maybe the boy could have just assisted Kabosé to record in studio like his brother Leny Bidens and their father Sec Bidens has done for many artists and even on Maison Mere songs. It could be that Kabosé recorded the generique in the new studio that Sec Bidens is running in Kinshasa now that he's back in Kin after relocating from Europe leaving his older son Leny running the Europe studio.

I am just surprised that he never joined Maison Mere where his father and older brother have been offering their services for many years, Vieux Sec and Leny have kept Maison Mere tight so surprised that the boy chose BCBG.

I pay attention to detail on every aspect of sound in a song and that includes the shaker.
Seguin Mignon is not a bad drummer at all, he's an excellent drummer who has a very good technic learned from Titina Alcapone, I consider him to be more of a complete drummer than the likes of Papy Kakol who concentrates too much on the snare drum. Seguin is complete in that he plays very well in sebenes and in rhumbas but his only problem is LACK OF CONSISTENCY in the quality and JB's choice of recording studios and overall sound arrangement does not help. JB Mpiana at his level should know why Koffi and Werrason are glued to JP Kys as their sound engineer, it is not by mistake that JP Kys is the most popular sound engineer and probably the busiest. If JB does not want to record at Studio Ndiaye for strategic reasons including costs, he can still use JP Kys or even his assistant Pinos Bidenda, these two are the best in the game, all serious musicians should respect their trade and demand high quality in their works, JB and Ferre need to learn from Koffi, Ferre and Werra on sound quality especially on generiques and that's when you'll appreciate Seguin.

I really don't know how to put it to you, remove hatred and you'll realise that he's been the head drummer of Wenge BCBG for 11 years or so and you have no basis on which to say the albums JB Mpiana has released in the last 10 years have drums sounding like they were played by an amateur.
I don't support Seguin and am not a fan of his, I know at least 10 drummers who are better than him but the fact I know is that he's not a bad drummer and he's not a perfect drummer.

lol i just changed it today,because i meet patou quickly today and he said he'd return to kinshasa after sorting out his personal problems and that he informed jb (while he had already arrived here and much later after arriving) that he is in europe and then explained him the reasons and they agreed he can stay here as much as required then go back once everything is alright for him

i think in the case of seguin( and kakol in maison mere aswell) is more than a drummer role,they have become like brothers to their leaders
throw in any drummer you want at maison mere,and there are better drummers than both seguin and kakol combined, unless its a guy like titina who has a huge name already,no way that drummer would get songs to play on albums let alone displace kakol
almost the same situation in bcbg,but i take it its more acceptable in the case of kakol since his level of performance in sebene especially is still quite high and consistent

I respect the fact that fact but remember JB Mpiana has been to Zambia a few times, you could have sought audience with him or at least booed at Seguin maybe JB would have gotten the message that Seguin plays like a little girl.
Tell you what, there are so many wrongs in BCBG and If I was JB's consultant even for a day I would give him a proper report of recommendations to turn around his band and make it the best in Congo, BCBG is not a business at all,i would reorganise it perfectly, JB Mpiana has the best people to work with but I don't think he knows that or he simply doesn't know what to do with the nearly 100 of staff he's got. he only needs maximum 30 people including dancers and admin staff around him in my opinion,he doesn't need to recruit anyone else at this moment, just reorganisation.

It's not just about the band leader presenting recruits on stage, Maison Mere have a dedicated marketing team and they do the right things. JB has never studied marketing or management and has no clue what to do apart from polemic as a means of attracting attention,it's the managers he's appointed, it's the same with boxers, they appoint wrong managers.

remember the case of alain bany who made enormous efforts to promote jb,especially by trying to show on website bercy concert live (but something messed up in the setup)

Indeed,Alain Bany was doing his best but he's gone off radar now even the BCBG forum we used to post on just disappeared. I think we the fans need to come up with something, I would like a BCBG website showing a bit of information about band members and programmes like Alain did.

JB mpiana is the major culprit when it comes to poor marketing of bcbg. His centeredness is the major problem culpled with lack of marketing knowledge or education .

JB mpiana is the major culprit when it comes to poor marketing of bcbg. His centeredness is the major problem culpled with lack of marketing knowledge or education .
Take it this way, JB Mpiana is simply a charismatic person who knows how to manage his relationship with his staff and colleagues,those are human resources skills and he's good at that that's why he's the only star with a very stable band and has good relations with everyone apart from Koffi Olomide.
JB is the sort of Band President who needs competent managers around him to help him run his band and do proper marketing as an organisation because on his own he's content with the way things are run and it's because he's wealthy and he has loyal fans therefore he doesn't see the need for aggressive marketing like his colleagues who have to do all it takes to remain relevant and have a share of the market.

i know it lol i hope they did not change too much that generique since it was finished long ago and reworked a bit later to incorporate other animation
if they kept like the one i know i am sure you will be pleased

mukulu the reason bcbg does not use mi solo anymore or very very rarely is that one of the keyboard guys does that role more or less
but fally's group proves its possible to have two keyboards and mi solo at the same time but i guess bcbg's stage is too crowded to afford that lol

I just realised that we were not keen enough. Rogaine Solo has been with BCBG for quite sometimes. I have just been watching JB birthday in 2012 and Rogaine was seated near Ficcare just behind Cedrick Guez.
