he says his departure from bcbg was destiny and proof is that without having an album to his name he played at fikin 4 times, and several other concerts(including one recently with djino equalizer ) so it means his time had come to go solo like a grown man
he does not want to keep talking about reasons why he left bcbg because him and jb have sorted things out and talk together a lot and jb gave him blessings for his solo career
he says he is very proud of the team of musicians he recruited because they have adapted very fast to professional music
when asked about who can replace him in bcbg,he says bcbg is jb first musicians come and go and the group continues to work normally so he cant pretend that since he left bcbg is dead but he knows he was a major member of bcbg so it will take time for whoever replaced him to make people forget about him
he is not happy about that image people have that jb does not have somebody who turned into a star solo artist
he respects fally,ferre and lacoste but they must now they have a "rival" now
he has decided to name his album "kaka yo" and is currently finishing his generique which means album is near completion,and sings an extract of a song and says he wrote some of the songs,some are by his brother senado and few by friends
about the way he sings with emotion he says whenever he sings a song he puts 100 per cent of his heart in it as if the story was personal
he says he has some bad memories of bcbg but the good ones are much bigger and deserve to be talked about more
about koffi jb conflict he says those two are huge stars so would not be smart for a "little guy" like him to get involved and he would not be surprised if in near future both have good relationship again

So to those who have constantly dismissed Lacoste, you can here by yourselves, even Chai himself understands well that the man belongs to the league of Fally and Ferre. He did not mention Brigade or Celeo in there. Papa na Brian is up there and he is going strong.

So to those who have constantly dismissed Lacoste, you can here by yourselves, even Chai himself understands well that the man belongs to the league of Fally and Ferre. He did not mention Brigade or Celeo in there. Papa na Brian is up there and he is going strong.
Lacoste is a very good singer and knows his music very well ie music arrangement(though he failed on his last) but he is nowhere near Fally and Ferre's level with charm and business success(artistic not just wealth)
Ferre and Fally have sold out tickets at major international venues where Lacoste has never been on his own, Lacoste has never even toured with his band apart from the shows he does in Congo so it's funny how Chai has even mentioned Lacoste,it means Chai thinks small!
Chai will certainly sink Ferre and Fally on sebene and maybe overall music arrangement but on his on i think he's gone past the date, gone are the days of the album TH when he was a proper tenorist, he brought some fresh air in BCBG that time till his voice started cracking and he sounded like someone who takes too much local ghetto whisky(lotoko) and fans called him and the others names like mikuli.

Congolese Music is just not fair.....Lacoste, Baby Ndombe, Serge Mabiala etc, are good but something is just missing.

I think it also goes with Charisma and looks, there are several musicians out there who are capable of beating Ferre and Fally clean but they have not even reached quarter of Fally and Ferre's level, to some extent i think it works in Congolese music to have some ''enemies'' for banter, Fally and Ferre did and still do what their bosses did, artistic polemique.
