@4:49 I don't like the rhumba. Every instrument was point and the sebene was FIRE!!! The animation was good also. Hmmm bo yoka bien!!! Emo, Seguin is a very good drummer, he's just inconsistent.

Nah I'm not with Team Bcbg, I just like this sebene and if they make good music I'll listen. I'm not even a fan of JB and Wenge Bcbg like how I am with other Congolese artists and bands.

I thought you would say this forum is slowly turning into an anti-BCBG movement as there is too much criticism of Wenge BCBG especially against the drummer Seguin Mignon, on a daily basis the name Seguin Mignon comes up and negatively for that matter.

I just( and still is) not really into Jb and Bcbg, there music doesn't really get to me like how other bands music does. The Kipe Ya Yo genreique really got me to pay attention to them and Mignon' and Nono Fudji songs helped a bit. I also like Abel De Charme singing, I first heard him in Mbua and I was like wow this guy is good.

Jdog I gave my analysis yesterday as to why I think Segiun Mignon is not good and deserves being fired. Voiture, to me is not a good song......Kipe Yayo in totality should have been a better CD had it had a sound engineer like Sec Bidens, Titina or Makaba.......the only song I love in that album is Francis Kalombo Solution composed by the young vibrant PPU......nice guitar work and singing...the second one is by Tutu Caludji....

JP Kys did a good job on the album,he's the best sound engineer out there in Congolese music. The generique Kipe Ya Yo was just messed up as it was touched on in a London studio that's why it's the only song with bad sound on the entire album.
Just to enlighten you EMO,there's a difference between a Sound Engineer and an Arranger, Sec Bidens and Makaba are good and experienced Arrangers and have vast experience in sound engineering which is the actual techinical aspect of balancing sound and all that,they are hands on since they both work in studios full time but Titina has more experience in artistic arrangement/directing of musicians in the actual production or recording of music like Maika Munan etc.

and this is why I want that thief looking man kibense to go. He is a self imposed sound engineer and arranger of bcbg......even at concerts I have ssen him live doing it. But he has performed poorly and misguides jb.

yes indeed,sound level has dropped( even if you spice that thing up with your hate towards the guy lol) he will still have zenith sound as a great achievement,he maintaining it well enough in concerts until lets say 2010 then it went quite downhill
he inherited the artistic director and sound engineer role from the fact he was titina's vice- director(the hierarchy thing we talked about yesterday)

I thought Kibens is assisted by Sunda and Geremie Kitubu who are instrumentalists, surely they must know that the bass on BCBG's generiques is too much compared to the other instruments unless it's deliberate,whatever they do doesn't make sense, i prefer to hear all instruments including the shaker. I would even go for Anti Terro which even with less bass was finished very well in South Africa, it had perfect sound,every instrument was audible and well balanced.

All those that play around with bcbg sound today, are learners. They cant be compared to titina or sec bidens. Bcbg bass has always been high but has been balanced well with other sounds in the past. Bonn Anee was one of the best singles recorded while bidens and titina were there. What has changed today? The people that surround jb today.

Theo Bidens is the tall keyboard player and younger one of the two, i don't know about his studio competencies but i know as a keyboard player he should be good in programming including studio programming work but had he been excellent he would have helped Alain Mpela to balance the sound correctly on the album Intifada which he helped on when both gentlemen left Wenge BCBG.

Sec is also the father to the young studio engineer, guitarist and keyboard player Leny Bidens based in Europe.

Both ie father and son have worked with various big and small names in Congolese and world music including Papa Wemba, Werrason etc, Sec the father i believe has now relocated to Kinshasa leaving the son Leny to run the studio Publicom Studio in Europe, this is where Fabregas recorded his first album, i believe Fally also had some works done on his album Kosa Leka at Publicom.
I am not sure who the father is to Tolbert Solo the young Wenge BCBG soloist, I just remember that Archos said Tolbert is the young brother to Leny so not sure whether Tolbert is the son to Sec or Theo Bidens since Tolbert himself has been in Kin whilst vieux Sec and Leny have been in Europe for years.
