He says he will do one album in the future but for now he has his song on balle de match and that they take a long time in studio because they want album to be of a good quality and that its not everybody who has to release every 6 month or every year and because of releasing too fast many songs on various albums did not really succeed
he is adamant that the group has worked very well and fans will be satisfied
he says he remained in bcbg first of all because he knows what it means being next to a star like jb and he remembers the days where he used to steal some money at home to go see wenge at concerts as a fan and he wants to reward jb for the way jb stood by them when people wanted them out so he tries his best to keep reaching jb's expectations, he feels well in the group even though many of the guys of his age like ferre fally and co(jdl was born in 1975) having gone solo
he turned his song inballe de match from a rumba to a sebene because he has noticed that in too many albums there are too much rumbas and congolese music is not just rumba and gives example of mulolo,kin e bouger,kalayi boeing,voyage
he says people will dance to his song and to generique aswell with genta,cellulaire,pajo,ben laden and fusée
he says his song is dedicated to late producer lando batibuka and that if he was a greedy guy he could have sold the song to another person now that lando is gone but he is a loyal guy and wants this song to be like a tribute to him
album has gone through mixing already in kinshasa and before the end of the month jb will be in paris to finish mix and mastering and album will be out as soon as factories print cds
at some point still talking about musicians leaving,he gives example of papa lutumba who was with franco until his death and says that imagine if ferre and co had not left maison mere andnow concerts were back in europe we' would have some fantastic shows from such a strong team again

No Emo I'm pretty sure JDL changed his song to a sebene song long time ago, and Fally himself hasn't doesn't a sebene song since Bakandja. Like I've stated before Ferre,Celeo,Bill and Lacoste have all done more then 1 sebene song. And you never really talk about this guy a lot.

Now that's a too much of a statement, you mean they can do it overnight,F'Victeam's album only got released two days ago and so far there hasn't been too much excitement though the album is a classic and 10/10. The sebene is not really excellent,the soloists were less creative,they kept it too basic but the animators did their work perfectly, the good thing is that there's quite a number of sebene songs including generiques that's why this album is different.

Good points by JDL but he should have had a guitar since he plays guitar okay, talking too much without singing isn't good for a musician.

On average i find this album to be ok.......... Fally did all his best to redeem his Rhumba image and this i see working out for him.

Sebenes are good i agree but FOR ME I would pray for more soulful Rhumba songs, the likes of Koffi's Washington, Cadenas,Werra's Blandine, ferre's Biberon et al. Such nice songs have been missing from DRC of late and am crying for any album that will bring them back.They can keep their sebenes for now and bring my Rhumba back!!!!!!!!!

Yes Jdog i have listened to these songs and i agree that Fleche has some nice tunes like Tadet's song, Kimberny and Mundinda, Karmapa is trying [especially the song I Love You], Wazekwa , a little bit,Double Mbonda is good enough and am also liking a lot of Doudou Copa and Kabose. But none of the Rhumbas in recent albums by the big guys has been able to become an anthem in my head. The likes of Cadenas have me singing along, knowing the words yet i dont even understand the languange. I am missing such song that makes me lose track of time and how i wish these new albums would do the same FOR ME

i feel this fvicteam album is to bridge the gap between the newer generation and older generations that prefer a particular sound. the sebene while basic is still perfect and undeniable. if you do not enjoy it then i have to wonder and check your pulse to see if you're alive. the sebenes on libre parcours are great and they are the best songs on the album to me.

Read my statement properly, am saying there hasn't been so much excitement on the market like we usually have when an album is about to be released and when it's finally released. So far I haven't seen any video of people queuing up to buy it at Chateu Rouge or the other places where people usually people eagerly gather when an album is just released.
The album is a classic because not only have the guys brought back sebene, they have also brought back memories of old animation and dances and fused everything so well.

Just because a lot of people don't pack a part of town to buy something that doesn't mean that product is bad. And there has been a couple of videos where people who brought the album where talking about the album. Many people have brought the album digitally then the physical copy of the album.

kiekiekie, yes indeed, I believe soloists should have variations in the guitar partitions. If you listen to the 3rd generique,Felly Dimbedi only played 3 rhythms. Although Alvarito is number 3 in my hierarchy of the best soloists in F'Victeam,i find that he created better solo partitions on the generique he played but the more aggressive one is Le Petit Kurukuru even though he didn't create as much on his generique either this time around.

I don't know why you're struggling to understand me.
Am going with the original definition of classic which means outstanding amongst the rest.
The album is different from what we are used to from Fally and on the market,it was a complete surprise and that makes it a classic album.
To measure success there are various methods used, first being primary research through direct feedback including from those buying and sampling the album and also from comments on youtube and how patrons respond to the music in clubs etc. We usually see videos of fans celebrating when an album is out, there has been less buzz on this one but it's too early to judge however it remains a classic.

i just wanted to put a little part about the reception,i think it was totally normal that it went "quiet" by the recent standards of ingeta and co,album was released on a tuesday,and it was album of fally's group which many people still did not take seriously
if it was fally himself, i am sure it would have a been at least a bit different,especially when you know that some fans dont mind risking to be fired from missing at work to welcome jb,werra,fally,ferre at airport when they come so they woult not mind buying cds on a tuesday either i think

I think there's a difference, you like drummers to hit the snare drum harder whilst on my part I want soloists to be more creative, you cannot play two rhythms/partitions throughout a sebene, there has to be variation otherwise it gets boring.

one thing about le petit's generique he has had to adapt to that kabuya animation about his past lifestyle which they used in almost all generiques and sebene songs and the specific solo for that was created by alvarito
notice how its the only part of the generique where he is kinda monotonous,even alvarito falls into that problem in the other parts he plays it apart from generique

Ah, so it's Alvarito who created the partitions. It good Le Petit was the one that actually played and he did very well, if only he had added more partitions otherwise it's still fine and it's obvious it's Le Petit's style of playing that made the team make it generique #1.
I think what you've said about the album having been released mid-week and being sceptical about the album makes sense as to why people were quiet.

No, snare, asymbol and drum set, all should be hit hard....not just the snare. Secondly, its the style that matters which segiun is poor at. My favourites so far are kakol, titina and champion.

I think you have to live with it coz no matter how much you complain things will not change for as long as Seguin remains JB's first ''son'' and mostly so if JB keeps recording in cheap studios because it's the sound arrangement which is bad in BCBG's music otherwise Seguin is a good drummer.
