I am very sorry guys to say that 5th Generation is a generation of Pedigree, even though I like some of the young musicians ie Fabrigas, Deplik Nuance...Their Pedigree is quite inferior. Listen to Chai, you can feel and hear the pedigree, the experience and EXCELLENCE FORM THE WORD EXCELL..
Look I like some of these young guys, they aRE LIKABLE, young and sprite, but they lack this(the chai ngenge aura).
the league where Ferre and Fally are, is not just a league, its a transformation of music and they cultivated all that through a lot of years. 5th Geration is not only for new musicians but its for musicians of substance..SUBSTANCE. I always liked Chai Ngenge, but I neve though he would qualify in 5th Gen but from Mpunda I started dreaming of him leaving BCBG. H is complete and absolute, even the extracts from BCBG he did, you could see the passion and professionalism.
Im quite fearful for Heritier, bcz for him to be a 5th Gen artist, he moght need to do better than Chai. I like the boy, I love his songs and the way he does music, he has always been promising but according to me he lacks the professionalism and pedigree..
I would also want o agree with Chai when he says Ferre and Fally should be ready for a new competitor, I am quiet confident that he can give them the run of their money, its about time we have good music back pple and this is one of the man who can ake us there.
CHAI NGENGE, I WELCOME YOU TO THE 5TH GENERATION WHERE FALLY AND FERRE ARE THE ONLY PLACE HOLDERS!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much jonbas. Good analysis in there. But also note that Chai ngenge, in as far as he is a good artist, his looks and outlook need to be polished. This is one attribute for success in Congolese music. Secondly, because of the mistake that JB Mpiana has made in the last 15 years, in the area of publicity and intertainment, Chai will only be known by we, the true followers of music.
Therefore, to create an impact, Chai not only needs to look at his image, he needs to come up with serious staff which should include good sebenes.

hahaha, how we differ hey! I actually hate his singing, I find it annoying especially when he cracks,sounds like an amateur especially that you can even see the veins in his neck when he's singing.

Me I like his voice.....remember his contribution in Walay Danico?.........the only problem I had with him was his poor entertainment or dancing skills which Rio also exhibits.

The voice he arrived with at BCBG is no longer there, it is the same for Jules Kibens, the guys sound like amateur singers mu tarven ya chibuku!!!! Lol

No, I am not JB's spokesman and am not BCBG Human Resources Manager, JB Mpiana chooses who to work with so he's chosen to work with the people we despise, we just have to live with it or seek entertainment elsewhere, this is what i have consistently said and i have also said we don't have to sing about it in every thread because it's become like a song.

Papa na Kevin, I echo you sentiments about those not using their talents yet they could sing so well. Kabose for example has so far shown he can produce very good rhumbas with high quality videos but is not giving his all, Aimelia, Che Guevara Sami-lo , Afande also come to mind. Even Jpson wowed me with Angoisse and i suspect could do some good music. Someone needs to wake them up

You got my sentiments wrong, those people i mentioned have been giving their best and that includes Jpson, Aimelia and Sam Tshintu. What some these people lack is the charm,good looks and charisma which are also a factor in determining how one will wow the crowds. Kabose for instance has been the most consistent in releasing quality albums,every year he releases something good but still not made it. Aimelia is alright but he too comes out dull and talkative but he's done some excellent shows in Europe to multi cultural audiences who have enjoyed his shows but at home in africa he's only known by hardcore fans.
Sam Tshintu is an excellent singer and dances okay but he's gone past the age,looks and all probably make him less appealing compared to the likes of Fally and Ferre who are more youthful.
Alain Mpela would probably make it coz he's got that charm,youthful looks,swag and good stage presence and he did well to return home but he's taking forever to release his come back album.

Sly I understand you. I expected that question. Its strictly person taste. Ferre sings and arguable has the best voice amongst the big guns in Congo. Fally does too. Chai does not have the best voice but he really sings in a special way and I noticed he really influenced some of JB's songs. I spent the whole weekend listening to BCBG Internet and live concerts. I also took time to listen to WMM. My conclusion:
1) We have been reduced to accepting mediocrity as good. None of the things we are listening to right now can be compared to that.
2) Chai Ngenge and Afende's parts were too too sweet. Almost all Chai Nge Nge's parts were spiritual punches. In Congo there is always a line in a song, it could even be an instrument with a hidden spiritual bait. Very few people know about this but this is the part which catches your attention and gets you hooked for life. Chai did most of those parts.
