Who wants to give us a history in generiques and why they are so important??? (feeling like an article will make me happy today) thank you :)

I think that Archos is a specialist of that.....

By the way generics are there already since the '70s. Whose Tabu Ley's Assambalela "remix", Viva La Musica's "rhythme Molokai" and Victoria Eleison's "Explosion" (later remixed in Longue Histoire as But Na Filet) were the most famous generics of the 70's and the mid '80s. At that time they were calling it "national anthems" because every famous band of Kinshasa (except the bands created in the 50 's, 60's and Ok Jazz) were starting their concerts with their generique. Even Wenge Musica 4x4 had it's own national anthem (inspired from Viva's generic  rhythm Molokai) which they were playing until the release of the Kin E Bouge (EP). But the most bands did not record their generic on an EP. Victoria Eleison is the only band who plays his national anthem till today at the begining of their concert, Viva La Musica also sometimes, but they stopped with playing that every concert since the "Fula Ngenge-generation".

Pepe Kalle is the first person who started generics with Animations (he was inspired from Congolese artists based in Paris who making Soukous/Kwassa-Kwassa songs. The first generic was Ce Chale Carnaval (released in '87) and the second Pon moun paka bouger "Tika Muana" (from 1989) both were generics were very populair in Africa and the caraibes.
