So other than Ferre Gola's Ruth Nzele, not too many female atalakus are making a wave. The one that showed up in Koffi's Album a few years ago is now Soeur Nene. Generally, they either are sidelined because they are women or they fear the outcome of going into secular music as a woman. But when you get a woman that can actually animate the crowd or in generiques and sebenes, it could be great.

I like how Monik Tenday goes into it at 3:30. So my question is what does it take to succeed as a female animatrice in today's competitive mucis scene?
