he says congolese music is suffering badly from piracy,they have lowered the price of their cds but it still has not solved it
he adds that there are many artists who are making DRC proud like koffi olomide,werrason,lacoste,fally,ferre,reddy....but none of them is getting their copyrights
and he has found out that 100 000 dollars bralilma paid for the songs of artists they use(those with and without contracts) has been stolen by the ministry of culture and papa verckys and they did 50/50 and he hits out at minister asking since when he became a singer unless he considers himself a singer because of national anthem

Ah Vieux bokul - toujours en forme! He's become the wiseman amongst the active musicians.

It seems according to most musicans involved in this SOCODA effort/blunder that Verkys is an unsavory character and uses his legend status as an immunity measure from being officially accused.

The problem with this "SOCODA" is that the people who run these organizations are biased musicians.  If they're going to have an organization like BMI, ASCAP or SESAC that pay on performance royalties and copyright royalties, there need to be people in place who know the business but are not performing and making records and who are not embroiled in corruption.  So far SOCODA is a joke.
