When I read the title of your post, Kinzonzi ki tata came to my mind right away without knowing what its language actually is. But I remembered the words there are different than usual.

It hurts my that more more people prefer in Bas-Congo to talk Lingala instead of Kikongo, while in Angola, Congo Brazza & Bandundu are proud to talk Kikongo. There are even many Bakongo who are ashamed to talk Kikongo in public-places, while Baluba for example are proud to talk Tshiluba on every place.

Maybe artists should follow Franco's example, and then the situation would change.
