Before ya mado epidemic, rumba songs where the ones everyone was doing and now since ya mado success everyone has jumped back on the seben songs, including Ferre himself with seben(4min). Didn't say Ferre is the first to do a non seben song and the songs you mentioned above came out years before ya mado.

What is it that you mean because in not getting it. Because theirs artists who have released rhumbas as singles recently if that's what you're talking about.

I'm talking about successful slow songs like this one while only seben songs have been more successful recently.others have released rumbas as a single aswel like Kabose, Mr international and Deplick...including people with 25+ rumba song in a album...all have flopped but tucheze has been successful outside Congo...you get my point now?

I agree with JV and Archos,this song is completely different, i think the sheer number of Kenyans who love rhumba recognise Ferre have added to the song's success, Ferre is so much loved in Kenya.

Another example of how this song has been doing...the video below is a lil analysis of recent release and all are seben except Tucheze and mipende, based on views alone it has done good compare to the seben epidemic songs on the list
