This would be the first time that Madilu actually had his band participating on his solo album. Before hand, he was only working with folks like Rigo Star, Dally Kimoko, Lokassa ya Mbongo, Caen Madoka, Nyboma, Malage de Lugendo, Ballou Canta, Luciana and Wuta Mayi. I wonder why this time, he decided to get his actual band into his solo album?
Back then you weren’t considered a true solo unless you had your own backing band so it was in part due to peer pressure.
I still think of the story when he went to go visit Koffi and Koffi was about to pay Mamale Depitcho Do Akongo and co their salary and Madilu was shocked and said “Oko futa bango?” And told Koffi not to pay them and they'll still stay in the band because they have no where to go and Koffi didn’t pay them and Depitcho and Mamale left Koffi’s house angry
Did you guys see his video in the studio where he’s ranting about Aimelia doing his vocals in Kibuisa Mpimpa and also mocked Dynasty and all those that participated in it by saying all those features flopped and no one knows any of the titles of those songs. He also took more shots at those in clan wenge saying they and ferre can’t be upset he’s doing a feature with someone from Quartier Latin because Ferre left their house (Wenge) to go to their house (quartier latin)
So great to see the images of both Koffi live at Concert Noble and Academia at La Madeleine. I hope to see the official cassettes of these concerts back one day. I've never seen the footage of Academia performing in Abidjan, but I believe that the one of La Madeleine is the best performance they did with the Sanction-format, as most of their Kinshasa-concerts (Cinemax, Palais du Peuple, etc.) had bad sounds.
Koffi jocking that Babia would soon create his own band from 16:24 min. He probably thought that Babia would also be part of Academia, being aware that some artsts would le ave soon. It's a shame that we've never got a solo-album from Babia.

Back in the days, I felt like Brussels was anti-Koffi because of the way New-Jack gangsters would often interrupt his concerts in the 2000s. But it's crazy to know that La Madeleine was full but not sold out, while it took place during christmas. Was there another big event taking place in Brussels or Paris or was it because people being afraid for fights which was often the case during concerts in Brussels ?
Koffi’s concert noble was where Jf made his Quartier Latin debut right? It was nice seeing Willy Bula attending Academia’s concert I always wondered why he didn’t team up with them after he left Zaiko. But seeing him here you can see his heart wasn’t in music anymore he didn’t even look like a musician anymore lol he was just happy to be back in Europe.

Kakol is a sorry excuse of a human being. Something needs to be done because he always beats her at home and with domestic abuse he can end up killing her one day god forbid. I’ve met Kakol a few times in Europe and he doesn’t have the same energy with how he acts in Africa because he knows he’ll get his ass kicked over here, I guess he still has trauma with how he got jumped by the combattants all those years ago lol.

Is he afraid that if the group album does well that the fans and donors will use that momentum to freeze out Cindy by pushing a tour and then a solo Koffi album? I feel like they're waiting for the right moment to push Cindy aside by saying, "mokonzi, this is what the fans want".
Personally, Cindy should have her own orchestra and Koffi occasionally collaborate with her, but he maintain QL as it used to be. If he had done this, I think he could counter the Fally and Ferre defections with Le Mineurs while maintaining Cindy's respect among the fans as she stands separate from QL
People have already been wanting her out for years to the point Koffi defends himself in interviews and says each leader has their own favourites and he always moans in interviews how people say "Cindy killed QL" while she contributed the most to his career (these are his words lol). Fans will never be able to freeze out Cindy especially since she became his official wife it will never happen. Maybe if Koffi didn't have those legal problems and was able to go to Europe for those 10 years and there wasn't a concert ban then maybe things might have been different, especially with Aliya's influence.
Jamaique, Kakol and co are lucky that this isn’t prime Bill and he’s calmed down over the years otherwise if it was Kibuisa Bill he’d have waited for them after the concert and given them a beating lol. This needs to be a lesson to Bill because he’s always falling out with his Maison Mere colleagues over his loyalty to Werra when out of everyone he’s gone at Werra the hardest and also Werra clearly doesn’t respect him as much as Bill respects Werra.

Blaise really wasted his career he left bcbg too early. He should’ve formed a rivalry with Adolphe after Adolphe went solo or it could’ve been a square of Werra vs Jb vs Adolphe vs Blaise.
