I’ll be real it took me 18 years to like the album, I hated it in the beginning. I was expecting a double disc and more sebene so I was disappointed. I was also looking forward to hear Mirage and Asso in the album because they were credited but only to discover their vocals were erased. I was expecting it to be like Force De Frappe or ADT level but I felt let down. It’s only now that I can say the album is good Mbetenge did a really good job the sound was excellent.
Why wasn’t the album a double disc? I feel like they could’ve added more songs and even another Generique which was normal since Effrakata.
I also think from the video this is a sign that Koffi plans to take a step back on music and manage Cindy whilst also giving her Quartier Latin full time because why on earth would Koffi not want Makaba to do a song for himself but for Cindy. Maybe I’m reading too much into it
I was honestly expecting the Generique to end with the keyboard like wanna dance loool. Also he should’ve hired dancers for the video because it’s awkward seeing him just dance by himself
this dancer's death seems to have cause strong anger from some of the current and previous dancers who are giving infos about how robinio acts(just like most of his colleagues) removing dancers from clips because she refused to sleep with him, organizing private parties with them and making them drink until they just wake up and feel sore in their intimate parts and things like that really sad that the young generations dont change the old bad habits
The guys an idiot, I went to his private rehearsal 4 years ago and honestly he’s a piece of work the way he treats his musicians and dancers.
I really like this song, Masudi reminds me soooo much of Modogo. Credit to Fally for adding El Dan Dorado in the song after he winning Vodacom best of the best. He looks like he could become a member of F’Victeam if he wanted to and this would show that Fally could recruit some youngsters in the group because the old guard ehh.
Let’s not jump to conclusions and blame jb or Werra otherwise we’ll have a certain person on this forum that will jump in this topic and say we’re hating on Werra loooool 😂😂
For real though it could be anyone it could even be Wazekwa maybe lmao
Gosh it still pisses me off just like it did back then. I think I listened to the integral version first and then one day on a car journey my dad played the cassette version in the car because my uncle made a copy for him and when the Generique played and suddenly the music faded during the ndombolo part I was pissed 😂😂 and I had to listen to the whole album which all had the same short version with the sebene songs ending abruptly, I even thought my uncle was the one that purposely put the volume down to end the songs quickly but they explained it was the radio version.
No wonder why Koffi made sure to wipe off the Radio version from existance because it’s been hard to find and you won’t find it on streaming platforms or even resells of the cd it’s rare to find. I still don’t understand why they released a radio version
Are Koffi and Jb on good terms now? Every artist would grab the opportunity to collaborate with Makaba that is until they go to the studio with him and question if it was the right decision due to how demanding he is lol
This is stupid.. competition is one of the identities in music. If me and my best friend were both artists you bet I’d want my album to be better than his. Even when artists do collaborations they always want to sing or rap better than their collaborator, it’s not that serious man.
