It was not him who was driving it was his pire petit they went back out after coming home as seguin had to sign a deal for bcbg in his role of chef d'orchestre and there was how do you say it in english again "embouteillage" extremely loaded traffic, and he went out of the car like a lot of people do either to breath fresh air or to tell the other person what to do and there was not too much light and he told his guy now there is a bit of space you can come forward and the guy did so but at quick pace not to lose that spot for another car and he hit seguin unfortunately mannnn this might be a nightmare for them guys they were rehearsing until mbuta and my brother came crying and in shock had to announce the news and they had to cancel rehearsal straight away
Oh oh so he was hit by his own car. Really sad.
Apparently there was complications with blood clotting or something because I heard they had to amputate his leg and he never quite recovered. It was downhill from there...
knowing jb who is capable of cancelling studio sessions in europe just to go perform in private weddings for his friends and sunday concerts and then never go back until 8 months or something,i would not be surprised at all if the concert is cancelled because seguin was literally the closest human being involved in almost every aspect of his life i am "pleased" and almost surprised with how unanimous tribute has been for him so far, from people from all artistic disciplines here is a video of him showing his other artistic talent which was comedy https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=833565555494222
I really wished Seguin wasn't so stubborn because he was too eager to return like all is normal when his health should have transitioned to a more administrative role in BCBG. Honestly, I want Genta to lighten his load – Mulala, Monica Celeste, and Cellulaire all gone due to neglected health.
This situation reminds me of Dindo Yogo, Pepe Kalle, Paty Molesso, and Madilu. They had episodes of poor health but kept working hard. I know it's not JB's fault but I'm sure he feels guilty that he wasn't persistent enough about Seguin abiding by medical advice to slow down
Eish mawa trop. R.I.P Seguin Mignon. I can imagine Papa Cheri is devastated.
Is it as a result of injuries suffered from the accident or it's just another illness that took him?
what i was hearing before his death was that one of his feet was weakened by the stroke already and in the accident nerves were hit and it caused a setback the internet women are already starting their emotional lives where somebody always has to say that there is something spiritual behind the death and so on not even one full day....this people mannnnn
What was the accident? A car accident? Why was he driving in such a weak state and when did this happen?
This is so sad, I can only imagine how Titina feels...that was his protege. As for the rest of Clan Wenge, my condolences to them and their families through these difficult times
Yeah you are right, because the one of Internet was 6 months (from Sept. 2000 til March 2001). The following two tours were short, the one after Bercy being 3 months (sept. 2001 - December 2001) and that of 2002 4 months (April 2002 - August 2002), them starting in an European country to do their big Paris events 2 months later (Double trabendo and Elysee Montmartre).
The New Year Eve '99 concert in Abidjan is also back. But this is the first version that INA Congo uploaded and not the HQ-version of 2 years ago. I noticed that during those concert of New Year, the public always comes later
Wenge 4x4's last concert in Paris, before the tour got interrupted because of most returning back to Kinshasa with Masela and Werrason (until this day I wonder what happened)
Maybe Wenge Musica 4×4 work visa got revoked because that's unusual for a tour to abruptly. I've always been curious what went wrong as well...I suspect there was a serious disagreement about splitting money because Japonais ran away in Europe and the group broke up at the end of the year.
There's no other quick way to gain money, buy new cars and build houses, accepting 30k or 50k from fans/donors that dream to have a song dedicated to them on the market. Should he refuse it if there are more than 10 ? Bozi Boziana who's 73 old and also has a big catalogue, keeps releasing new albums and performing, but why is nobody attacking him ? Why is nobody attacking Nyoka Longo who's 71 years old and about to release an EP with his band ?
People need to stop blaming Koffi, people need to blame the new generation for not being able to release good albums and songs, being only focused on insulting rivals, their family-members and exposing their private-life. The way people keep dancing on Papa Mobimba during weddings and parties like it's a new generique, already show how incapable the new generation is in producing proper generique's. If we were in 2005, people would have forgotten Koffi like the way Papa Wemba went on the background in the mid 2000s. But Koffi is lucky to live an era where good music is basically death.
The same people that wants him to retire, will be the first to mock him being finished like the way people did to Emeneya and Papa Wemba, when they were alive
Because Bozi and Nyoka Longo aren't putting out hot garbage. Sure, their recent catalog doesn't hold a candle to their past work but effort is still being put in.
The concert of Wenge BCBG in Lemba with the interview of JB Mpiana with journalist Zacharie Bababaswe talking about his last concerts and TH, at some point Zacle also interviewing Tutu Kaludji, who said that he won't animate anymore and became a singer, Alain Mpela and Titina, who went to attack Wenge Maison Mere and talking about their cars.
Wenge BCBG's second concert in Kinshasa after the short Europe tour of 2002, which would become their last one before receiving a ban for the Schengen Area. The concert took place at l'Esplanade de Stade des Martyrs, where since the Fula-Ngenge festival in 1999 meant to celebrate Wemba's 50th anniversary, a fancy-fair was taking place every summer year like FIKIN (2000 till 2003) and different bands performing there.
This is among the events that concertpromoter Claude Mussay "l'Homme des Grands Evenements" often like to brag about, next to the event at Palais des Sports of Werrason. Here Wenge BCBG performed in a boat in Peniche (Belgium), to celebrate JB's 31th birthday. This was when they came back from their Canadian-American tour and tensions already starting between Alain Makaba & Blaise Bula against JB Mpiana. Aimelia alluding to it when having his own interview. Before the show there was a press-conference with journalists and fans being able to ask questions and just before coming on stage JB Mpiana like other BCBG-members his own interview. In his interview he talked about the Wenge-split. The interview would create alot of polemic and Adolphe Dominguez would react the next year, when coming to Belgium with Maison Mere.
Wenge BCBG triumphal return after being 7 months abroad, JB Mpiana famous ad for their first event in Kinshasa and first concert at Salle des Spectacle of Palais du Peuple, a place where comedians and musicians often used to perform next to Salle des Congres, before Palais du Peuple became exclusively for politicians. The event of BCBG also took place, one week before the atrocities in Kinshasa (tozangi mayi solo), but them being lucky to travel to Ivory Coast the following week.
If I'm not mistaken, that tour of 98 was the longest time abroad for Wenge BCBG as a group? My mother was in attendance at the boat concert, that barge is popular for boat rentals.
Interesting that Fally tried to get Shella to join him in forming a group, looking back I understand why Koffi dumped Shella and Montana in favour of les mineurs and Joss and co. It looked awkward having both Montana and Shella next to him on the mic whilst he should've just had one of them but not both. Adolph really mismanaged Tonya Tonya the fact they were only top for a year is crazy.
I think Montana and Shella made QL look old like BCBG. It was time for a change because they were the remaining of the old guards. Koffi and Werra were always cognizant of looks in ways that other groups weren't
Reminds me of Titina, he's surprisingly a great guitarists! I wouldn't be surprised if Rama like Espe Bass and Sonor Digital gave Roga solos on albums because Shalai was a sudden upgrade in sound from all their previous albums. A lot of people attribute the inclusion of the mi solo but you can tell the way the rhythm is played is different
Is there any collaboration albums that you would like to see happen? Personally, I would like a Ferre, Bill, Japonais, and JDT to revive Les Marquis – given how Legende had it's share of difficulties with Bill maybe it's not a wise idea for producers
i suspect joss lol he's revived relationship with the french woman he was dating back in the days and who tried to make him leave cultura so he already has an "adress" here
So the plan of Joss inheriting Cultural will never come to fruition? After the brothers influence on Wazewka and the brief reconciliation with Koffi, I wouldn't blame Joss for settling in Europe – he's fifty years old and the band basically ran by Eclipse or Germain in the absence of their leader.
Let's be honest, if he announced a revival concert of Quartier Latin and they teased new music, would it sell out today or are we just being nostalgic?
