Congolese Music / Re: BRIGADE SARBATI VISITS FABREGAS AT CONCERT

He could sing the same animations for another ten years, and people will still dance. His repertoire has range. Too bad they killed his progress.

I remember Wazekwa had an all-female group in the mid-2000s. i wonder what happened to them. The female Atalaku was good, too.

a few things noticed
1. a little of Fally in this one.
2. he still likes screaming atalakus. not just Showme's style
3. his soloists are always playing mi-solo/rhythm partitions
4. too many changement de frequences
5. he probably should seek medical attention for that lump on the back of his neck.

Congolese Music / THESE ARE BANGERS
« on: June 19, 2026, 19:35 »
I don't know what program the guy used to make these. They're crisp and quite enjoyable especially if you're driving. The licks are contemporary to today's sebenes and generiques. Solo artists are about to be out of work once folks know how to embed these AI partitions in their studio work. Some Nbonda partitions are quite crazy...

RIP...Junior. I remember he was trying to release an album in the late 2000...It's rough out there for some of these guys. Does anyone know what happened to him?

Manu Dibango was dropping some gems towards the end. If only we love ourselves enough, there will be no war in Africa.
Also, the French Language was kicking Werra's ass in that studio.....  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Que será será. Fally's star is meant to shine and it's shining. Nothing against his peer, Ferre.  A sold-out concert is no small feat despite the fact that his generiques and sebenes have significantly gone down in quality over the years. Big up to him for pulling this off.

I like the solo at 3:29. Who played it? Also, the atalakou sounds like an older version of Petit Reagan.

Congolese Music / Any News on Kabuya?
« on: February 19, 2026, 18:15 »
Kabuya had so much potential. Last I know he was in France/Belgium somewhere there. Is he back in form? I wish he would get baxk with a real good band who will give him room to do wonders. I wonder if he's a good fit for WMMM...

And who's the guy next to Alain Mpela during the sebene dance?

A comment says "Ridiculous, Werra and JB couldn't share the same podium." Was it already that bad then?
