I had to resurrect this thread having listened to Libre Parcours. It is an absolutely smashing album. It's not a perfect album since I am one for continuous improvement, but it comes close to it. I am a big Ferre Gola fan and I rightly acknowledge him as the better vocalist. I subsequently bought Dérangement for comparison. It is an unfair comparison, and that's not because Dérangement is only six songs, I leave it at that.

I like the sebene on the album, some moan about the slows and the so-called 'oriengos'. I absolutely love them, they bring something unique & different to the music. It really is a question of taste, some will like it, some won't.

I know it is a 'group' album but this is Fally's second best album after Droit Chemin.

Best song? Cavalier! I urge you all to listen to it.

His album Le Millionaire is fantastic, it's got proper rhumba songs with different messages not just love songs, the choruses are done in TPOK Jazz and Tabu Ley's Afrisa style, I like the song he's done about the Members of parliament (Monsieur le depute) reminding them of why they were voted into office.
I am also impressed with his female singer Tatiana Cruz,now I understand why Koffi has been desperate to get her.

This. Karmapa's album is absolutey amazing! Love it. I bought the DVD but the sound quality wasn't great. He needs to improve on his videos too. I then bought the album itself off itunes. Amazing choruses and melodies!
