Werrason brother's album. Solola is a genre classic, so there's no debating that - I'm refering to the sebenes itself.

This was literally sound you heard if you went to La Zamba in 1999. When you listen to the albums side-by-side you realize how polished Solola was in comparison. It remains the the Wenge MM album that took the longest to develop with how many times song were recorded.

As I get older, I prefer live recorded albums.

Was Ferre high recording this album?  This remains the most high-pitched singing voice I've heard from him

Ladins Motana - grand composeur compositeur, but singing wasn't his strong suit.

It's Papy Jah of Extra Musica singing on Bona Caludji. He was doing Ferre's role on some songs, since that he wasn't in the studio for some hours. This album was recorded in two days. Rhythm guitarist Collegien Zola (ex' Nouvelle Generation & Wenge Aile Paris) was also there.

No doubt. I prefer the sebenes of Fini La Recreation above those  of Solola Bien. But don't forget that Flamme played almost the whole album lead by himself (except Robert Basende). While Japonais played lead on the most songs on Fini La Reaction. That's why the sebenes of Fini La Recreation are more agressive than those of Solola Bien. The same with Force d'Intervetion Rapide, where Flamme only played on Mission Impossible & Kalayi Boeing "remix". Flamme was still on that Ndombolo-style, while Japonais was still on that Station Japana-style of playing sebene. Japonais is the base of that style they are playing in Maison Mere. I don't understand what made him changing his style after Kibuisa. Maybe that a guy was giving him sebenes, like the way goshtwriters are giving songs to leaders. Or that something went wrong in his life, which changed him forever. I remember Werrason saying in an interview with Martin Sinnock, before the New Year-Eve concert in Geneve (2000/2001) that Japonais was his favorite solist. That at the moment that he had Burkina Faso & Flamme Kapaya in his band.

With Flamme & Wenge MM staff being deep into kindoki back then, maybe that’s what caused Japonais to be pushed aside? I really don’t understand because most would say Japonais was very critical to MM’s popularity.

Or maybe it’s the “next great thing” syndrome artists have when discover young talent. Kind of like with Koffi and Cambodge and the way he squeezed Champion out of QL quick.

Just recording the whole day long. All Nzong-zing albums are made in max. 3 days (Saisi 20 Ans Douane of Baroza Bansimba, Kuma Kukiele of Clan Wenge, Fara-Fara, etc.). The most in one day.
