Ah, my favorite générique post-2005. It’s hard to put into words how much of a fresh air this album was in 2007 when Congolese music was entering a graveyard. Voted best album, générique, and clip of 2007.
The way Auguy Lutula plays solo is mesmerizing. To this day, Yannick Zenith’s drumming work on the electric drumset is the best I’ve heard, since I usually hate electric drumsets compared to a classic one.
The générique captivates from start to finish, which is rare for a long générique. Also, this is (at least one of) the very last full album with 50/50 rhumba & sebene song.
