Not only Bozi Boziana, but also Nyoka Longo, Pepe Felly Manuaku & Evokolo Lay. They were family. Back in the 2000s they made an community of ex'Zaiko members of the 1971-1974 generation in Kinshasa and were meeting eachother every month until Wemba's death. They even recorded an reunion-album somewhere in 2011.

All I know this album was an introduction for the fioti fioti dancers.

The album was recorded in 1998 just after having recorded 'L during the long Europe-tour of 9 months they made. The videoclips were recorded after the release of Fula Ngenge. Gaston Amisi tried to re-promote the album in 2003 by putting the videoclips in the same dvd of the Nkila Mogrosso-concert at RTNC. The fioti-fiotis were recruited by Lambio Lambio in Kinshasa when Papa Wemba went to record Fula Ngenge after having performed at Zenith de Paris with Viva La Musica, Le Quatro, Nouvelle Ecriture and Molokai. Lambio Lambio was motivated to prove Papa Wemba a point, because he was dissapointed that Wemba left him behind in Kinshasa for the Zenith-concert. He tought that Wemba would bring him again like 1998 since that he used to train Coco Maria and Mimi Tchivundu for Zenith-concert of 1999 like he did in 1998 for them and the other dancers (Chantal Nioto, Bijoux & Chantal Mogao) who decided to stay in Europe. Lambio Lambio recruited then 12 dancers of the 500 who went for to do a test. The fioti fioti started to have a big impact in Kinshasa due to their tv appearances. Bozi then told it to Papa Wemba about that with Wemba dedicating them in Martina-B' and Alpatchino dedicating them in Fula Ngenge.

That must be why they did the Le Quatro project with Gina and Evoloko.

Yeah, the idea of Le Quatro-project came from Papa Wemba. Back in 1998, he said that he was inspired by the Rolling Stones doing reunion-concerts and albums. Which him get the idea to come with the Le Quatro to let the old-Zaiko fans relive the 1971-1974 when they were in Zaiko and forming the dangerous AJUMAGI-quartet of Antoine Evoloko, Jules Presely (Wemba), Mavuela Somo & Gina Efonge (replaced by Bozi Boziana in 1973).



Before Le Quatro-project they used to perform often together in the 80s and early 90s. In 1983 Wemba recorded some songs with Bimi Ombale & Nyoka Longo. In 1990 he recorded an album with Mavuela Somo to celebrate their reconcilation after Wemba's brutal depature from Yoka Lokole in 1976 and in the late 80s Gina Efonge reunited Wemba, Evoloko, Mavuela & Manuaku for an reunion-album called "Les Surdoues de Clan Langa Langa"
