Hahaha look at Oxygene's hair cut in the generique. Typhohide Tarzan had alot space in Primus Engoudouka, I wonder if he would get the same space in La Main Noire. I'm surprised to see that "La Main Noire" was announced for June 2005.

I didn't see Oxygene, Papy Bastin, and some of the others during the Primus ad. Had they already left Extra Musica Zangul? Who is the singer at 35:19 part of the video?

I was missing Papy Jah on the choruses, this album was missing a strong tenorist to compliment Oxygene. Kerson and Rossen Yaourt tried their best, but they lacked the vocal charisma of Papy Jah.

There was Tchacou Totapen. But Extra Musica's system is diffrent than Quartier Latin & Maison Mere. You can't become first-member immediatly. You have to spent some years. Guys like Kerson, Typhoide Tarzan and Rossen Yaourt were there already since 2000 and are just the few of the many musiciens for were then members of Extra Musica. Yes, It took me also some time to accept Obligatoire, because I was also missing Papy Jah. Others reasons were that Roga Roga in my opinion wasn't really motivated as solist like in previous albums and the level of Trop c'est Trop was to high. But Obligatoire is still excellent an excellent album.

It wasn't until Universal Zangul where I came to respect Typhoide Tarzan as a atalaku, because his cries were either too short or that silly yelling at the 43:36 minute mark of the video (every time he does animations here lol).

For me, my favorites are Foundation Miller, Honorablement, Rufin Bouka and especially the rhumba Epaka (although Doudou Copa's song isn't too far behind as a favorite, just too much mabangas).

I thought Racines 2 was weak sequel to that from Etat Major and half of Aigle Imperial is Roga Roga's weak singing before Kerson and Rossen save the record lol

My favorite songs are Aigle Imperial, Ruffin Bouka & l’Oubier. Redoutable isn’t bad but it pissed me off that they were singing peoples names while its a song dedicated to God, especially the way Rossen sung in the song pissed me off. Like it was a comedy tchip. Fondation Müller is also an excellent song but the sebene sounded they played already in the previous albums. Of you listen towards the end will notice that a part sound like the sebene of Patience. The same thing would happen to some sebene of La Main Noire (Petit Mais Costaud & Eternite d’Amour). In the beginning I used to hate Aigle Imperial, but I started to like it from 2013 after discovering that some songs of Fally Ipupa’s album Power sounded like Aigle Imperial. Then after listing to Aigle Imperial, I felt immediatly in love with it. The same for Mogomboro & Dou Gaulois of La Main Noire.

My favorite sebene of Obligatoire is Boss Chez Ntemba.

I agree, Rossen Yaourt often annoyed me because he tried to be too clever with his vocals. He reminds me of Soleil Wanga from Quartier Latin, who was a more melodic singer in spite of his odd vocal techniques.

I really hated Rossen Yaourt. He sounded like he was forcing to sound like Soleil. Kassumbalesa sounds really natural, if he tries to sing like Soleil. I liked his vocal in Mogomboro and Mak.

But now they are both singing with their natural voice. I think that they would have continued with imitating Soleil, if he wasn't finished.

First would be Rufin bouka is my favorite. I have always love have oxy make a remix of the song with quentin and Doudou . It could have been beter. In my head i always dream of Doudou doing a smal passage of defao famille kikuta in it" papa eh boni o kimi ndako ye". Both song have almost the same melodyand same theme. I always add that part at the end when listening to the song. Second song would be l'oublier and the on third position is l'aigle imperial. The album is one of the best right after trop c'est trop and shalaï.
