Apparently they will tour in some african countries together and even record a generique together,and as you could expect in current configuration of our musicians,journalists are already being sent to attack them 

yeah, I saw Ken Mpiana making a whole video against him attacking then also Alain Mpela and the Mpela-family. Bouro Mpela didn't even attack or insult Fally just saying that Fally wasn't his boss but all journalists with who he made interview were keeping pushing him to say something bad about him. I don't understand why journalists always likes to ask about Fally to ex'musiciens, its so annoying. Why dont Fally ignore it like he used to ignore the attacks of Sankara, Kakol and the musicians of Ferre back in 2009 & 2010.

Btw those facebook-pages are so obsessed with attacking Celeo. I saw Les New des Stars share an image of Celeo and a Gorrilla claiming that Ndombolo Leader had posted while it was a guy from Luanda or Congo who posted it the Ndombolhino Leader Majesty-group (that group is only full with insults against artists from people living in Kinshasa and Luanda and also them insulting each other). Ndombolinho himself received alot of attacks and phone-calls because of that which made him delete his private facebook-account.

they want to  take celeo( and some other artists who you surely know already) to the extreme and make them accept to bow down to fally before starting to talk nice about them
i just found a video of equaliseur who said he just refused  to a ken mpiana's site journalist an interview with bouro because it was full of questions about fally and turned in a polemic way and they did not want to have polemic against somebody,like you just said  and to his surprise ken started attack him while they could just have changed their questions
and obviously like often these days,number of dislikes much bigger than likes while he said absolutely nothing bad about fally and even wished fally good luck on US tour

maybe fally does not ignore anymore because he reached what he wanted, a clean image to start his career,people liking him for his music and humble attitude,then  a lot more fans as his career advanced then boosted by that concept of clans made popular by late yanki,received support  from koffi and werra fans,and his fans and journalists over praising him while belittling each other(nothing wrong in praising him for his superb career but the constant bashing of others in it was not cool) and turning him into a semi god
now his image is like a  crossover between the fally who went hard on jb and viva members back in the days and the very diplomatic fally of droit chemin to power but more mean behind the scenes

ADT Yanki Mpuy created a monster, its also because of him know journalists can't properly do their job otherwise they will say that they were paid by x artists to attack artist y. I think that ADT and the Maison Mere-camp supporting Fally just to denigrate Ferre Gola and Heritier and pissing them off was a bad idea. I think that in 2 or 3 years Fally could turn agaist Werrason like he did with JB Mpiana and replying then against Fally will be to late, because he has now more fans then JB and Werrason together.

Thinking now about ADT Yanki Mpuy, its now already 1 year ago that ADT Yanki Mpuy passed away. I tought that Werrason and Wenge Maison Mere would do something special for him (an event, song or something else), but it didn't happen. Only some facebook-pages were paying tribute to him and Gloria Olangy when she interviewed Claudine Kinwa.

I wish Abilisi had stayed with Academia, he seemed like such a natural fit for the band. Check him out at 1hr and 3 minute mark, his vocals were very good! Why did he leave so quickly? He should of known there was no place for him at Extra Musica, especially with Papy Jah working hard for the space he eventually got in Trop C'est Trop.



We have to hold our journalist accountable for trying to start polemique, because they wouldn't do so if we didn't pay such controversy so much attention. Negative press seems to drive web traffic more than news about the artist or his music.

I don't why know left maybe that Tonton Lay, Eric Menthe and co of the tenor-section weren't liking him or maybe that he was spiritually attacked. But yeah, Abilissi really fitted in Academia, having also the looks. I wonder how the combo Abilissi-Sam Tshintu-Modogo-Suzuki would have been.

There a place for Abilissi in Extra Musica. In Brazzaville they already recruited Kerson Saddam as his replacer and Rossen (who was singing in a normal way), but they were left behind because they were new members. This made Papy Jah getting alot of space in Trop c'est Trop being then also the only tenorist in the band.  Roga Roga and co rejected Abilissi because they didn't like the statements he made against them in interviews.

Although we knew Papy Jah was talented from Shalai, he really defied expectations. Just listen to his vocals on Gambala, Zangul Zangul, and especially on the chorus of Guviano! Listen to him at 2:25 and once more at 9:10, he's still got it.



Do you think Papy Jah should have taken his chances like Depitcho and stayed in Quartier Latin despite having enemies in the band or should he have rejoined Extra Musica? I doubt he would have been given much space, because they already had tenorists like Michaux Chamberton, Roi-Soleil Wanga, and Gipson Butukondolo (who was overrated if we're being completely honest lol).

Yeah, because Koffi needed a strong tenorist since that Eric Tutsi and Babia Ndonga weren't serious. The voices of Soleil, Gipson, Bouro, Deo Brondo and Chamberton weren't strong enough as tenorist hence why they feared him with Soleil and Gipson saying that they would attack him with nkisi and asking if he as strong nkisi like them which scared Papy Jah. With Fally then also not liking him thinking that he would steal his role as the boss favorite, saying then to Koffi that he had to stop copying Werrason. Coming then in the studio with "Boss, I think that you are copying Ngiama" and Koffi then replying by "Ah!!!, vraiment. Veut dire nga nazo penza copier Ngiama"  and Fally then saying "Yes, you are really copying Ngiama" adding then "You recruited Kerozene to copy Bill and decided to leave CNN behind in Kinshasa and know you recruited Papy Jah because he sings like Ferre. He doesn't sing bad, but its like you want to make from Quartier Latin a Wenge Maison Mere." Koffi was then so furious saying then "So you are making from it a state matter (Affaire d'Etat), just because he's from Brazza?" 

Koffi would give Papy Jah space. Everybody in Quartier Latin was getting the same chances and the same amount of vocals. Papy Jah was ready to put vocals and do the chorus with the rest when they started recording Effrakata, but they deleted it when he left.

Gipson Butukondolo isn't overrated. He gets the respect he deserves. Gipson is an excellent songwriter and wrote 3 succesful songs Ba Lobiens, Biblia and Mopretre Lendila. Mopretre Lendila is a song about where he's advicing people to be patient in life. The song was for a long time number one of the Africa N1-radio hitparade Kilimandjaro. Gipson along with Fofo Le Collegien the only musician from the Quartier Latin-generation of 1999-2006 who wrote a song about life while the rest only made love song. The song Biblia from Affaire d'Etat was a huge succes and becaome the second best song of the year behind Reddy's Assistante Sociale. Beside that all vocals of Gipson are memorable while you got vocals of other singers who are quickly forgotten. Gipson sings welll, but the only thing that I didn't like from Gipson was that his voice was messing the chorus up when Mutshapha and Babia weren't around. But that problem got solved when Ferre Gola joined. I'm sure that that problem would already be solved if Papy Jah decided to stay in Quartier Latin.
