Around this time Zaiko released Backline Lesson One and I see Deo Brondo joined after his departure from Anti Choc and vocalist Lofanga and guitarist Baroza sadly passed away I got two questions to ask. Back in those days Nyoka Longo dissapeared for some time from Kinshasa, when ADFL took power. Because he was feared that they could attack him, since that his ex'wife Blandine (aka' Blanc Blanc) was close/related to MPR-regime of Mobutu. But he came later back, but then had a hard time to get visa's for Zaiko when Nous Y Sommes was huge, because of an rival/artist sending people to send letters to embassadies that Nyoka Longo was a Mobutist. When the long awaited tour got cancelled, his rival/artist started sending his musicians on the tv to mock him and on meantime he took two of his former band-members back, who had joined Zaiko.

Endo and Laudy Demingongo were fired from Zaiko. After the flop of Backline Lesson One, fans were saying that most members were unproductive and that it was time to fire them (the same situation happened with JB Mpiana in 2008, being almost ready to fire Kibens, JDL and co, but changing his mind on the last minute). So they received letters from Nyoka Longo that they were fired. Thylon was also almost fired, but he was saved by Adamo who defended him. Until now Laudy and Endo hold a grude towards Adamo, thinking that the was behind it. After that they started recruiting Papy Cocaine as new atalaku (they wanting someone doing the Calugi-style) and new singers.


I remember Deo Brondo once having an interview with VoiceofCongo back in 2014 or 2015 with I think Mireille Autshia (I haven't seen her in ages) and later on with Ado Yuhe. In those interviews he said that he was fired from Anti Choc and that they were celebrating that he was forced out of the band, that's why he decided to join Zaiko.

Volvo Lukebuka played the lead on the most songs of Sans Issue and Backline Lesson One, but those albums were not a big succes. So on Nous Y Sommes they decided to try other solists out, but he was still there. On the same time he started to get problems, because dancer Nana Mulenga, who used to be with Madilu like him joined. Nana Mulenga used to be his girlfriend when they were both members of Madilu's band and they had also one child together. In Zaiko they weren't together anymore and Nana started dating Nyoka Longo, but it was still creating some problems in the band.
Volvo would later participate on Poison, playing lead on songs like Liloba, Tonton Ben and Kasu Roba, after finishing recording Poison, he decided to stay in Belgium. He participated later on the nzong-nzing album Kuma Kukiele of Clan Wenge (Lacoste, Serge Mabiala, Theo Mbala, Burkina Faso, etc.) and became session-guitarist. Nana Mulenga later on left also, because of one of those chief being jealous about those relationships affairs and would stay at home for months, then join Quartier Latin for a short time and then stopping with her dancing-career.

It's good to have you back, brother. Their departure resulted in Endho joining Bana Ok and Laudy joining Empire Bakuba. I just wanted to add Zaiko released a VHS playing songs from Backline and Sans Issue Deo Brondo was featured in the clips with Papy Cocaine and Bladine ex-dancer of Nouvelle Ecrita used to dance in Zaiko very surprising.

Ah Ah donc abanda makambu yako bina kala... She must have been 15 or 16 years old then, because when Lambio Lambio started the Fioti's Fiotis they were 17, 18, 19 years old with Anya Star being the youngest of them, being then 14 years old.

Were the videoclips of Reddy's album Ziggy released/recorded in 1997 or 1999 ? Because Anya Star once said that she danced in those videos, before dancing in the Fula Ngenge-videoclips.

Were the Ziggy clips recorded in Paris or Kinshasa hate to ask what location?

She was dancing the same dance that she danced in Nouvelle Ecrita my guess Lambio Lambio and Nyoka Longo were friends.

I don't, I saw those clips, but if Anya says that she used to dance in those clips, then it means that they were recorded in Kinshasa. But most clips of Congolese top artists are always recorded between Kinshasa and Paris.

So surprising Anya Star was dancing in Reddy's music videos. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't see Dindo Yogo in the video.
