Like title says,like almost every of the last 5 to 10 years karmapa has announced songs titles and briefly explained the content,which did not please authorities who threaten to block his passport if he releases and things like that
in this particular case,he has a friend who got sick few times ago while he was in europe about to go back to DRC and by the time he arrived he was informed his friend was admitted in pretty much the national hospital,named after the name of mobutu's mother,and when he arrived there his friend died and he was so shocked with the disastrous state and conditions of that hospital that he decided to record a song about it to expose governement for letting people die like that for lack of equipment while the bosses of hospital and the minister himself are rich by stealing money
he should have been given a 6 month unofficial yet strict embargo to perform and record in DRC to avoid him singing it but thanks to intervention of his closest colleagues(werra wazekwa manda jb ) he did not get it
and he still is determined to release that song because he considers that he did not insult anybody,just he found it unacceptable to see a national hospital with sometimes 5 people on the same bed and on sheets so dirty that they are brown instead of white

I mean why they wanna ban his song? African governments needs to hear the truth instead of always punishing people who do speak out. Look out my country Angola. Edoardo used to silence you if you tried to talk against him and the criminal acts him and his daughter did, now the results of those criminal acts are 12 milion of poors and the new government to forced a VAT increase to avoiding Angola to fail as a state like it happened with Greece. What really shocked me is that all thise stealing have a negative image on those presidents as well. For example South Africans Blacks wheter they are Xhosa, Zulus, Ndebele or SeShona are respected everywhere why? Because of how Mandela represented new South Africa to the world while our leader feel so imprtant while no one in the world kbows who they are.

It's not just Africa, but anytime you insert political messages in music then controversy will follow you. Music is a powerful tool; one that can inform, influence, or distract.

I remember him having problems 10 years ago when he announced the song Mr le depute. The next time he has to surprise them, by saying nothing and releasing those kind of songs immediately.

he has been "allowed" to come back to europe and still is strongly denouncing and will still record the song,but i guess he'll change some parts,i was told it was a very hardcore song which when he played at rehearsal people were shocked and his security were against people filming
