Yeah i would like to know more about the reaction of others Quartier Latin members. I know Suzuki and Bouro didn't like him.
By the way how old is Depitcho ? 50 right ?
Did he come long before Olympia ?

depitcho is 51 ,but the way he was talking i think we should not read too much into it,his history with sam bouro and co is pretty short and his history in the transition to the generation of fally jipson and co  was very dominated by him as chef,if you notice well he talked about people when asked about people most of the times,even his old friend jf,when he was asked about him going to challenge other artists to defend quartier latin he did not mention jf who he was going with
at the beginning he was saying that he arrived peacefully and settled with the guys not acting like an already proven star
I think it was not genuine hate but  more like the competition to be koffi's favorite
if you look at it well, the beginning of quartier latin was suzuki then babia came but "removed himself" with his drug addiction then it was kinda suzuki willy bula then sam arrived with that natural charisma but suzuki was still  special one,then bouro arrived with his dances quartier latin was missing then depitcho arrived with dance,charisma,looks  at the same time

I thought his live IG interview was better, I skimmed through half of it. So Ado didn't ask him about his incident with Soleil lol, and I'm surprised by the conditions they were in when recording Attentat

I think that Depitcho himself said to him to not ask about Soleil Wanga and the way Fally & Chikito had to dance in front Ferre Gola & JDT, when they were preparing Bercy.

Attentat was recorded in the same studio where they recorded the soundtrack of the Lion King-movie. It's near the border of S-A and Botswana, you got also safari-park over there and a golf-park, but Congolese musicians don't like that lol.

But it was already to late, because most people bought Attentat "Version Radio". In the first volume of the Attentat-videoclips who came some out weeks before Bercy, Koffi  in his interview with Rouph Mbuta Nganga, tried to convince people to get Attentat "l'Intergale" and not "Version Radio". I remember a video of Zacharie Bababaswe interviewing people in Gallerie Ixelles (at Matonge) and them doubting if Koffi would fill Bercy, which angered Koffi and him sending new jack-gangster to beat him. The next 2/3 years, when an album was about to flop people would  joke that it was "Version Radio".

Yeah about the Version Radio I remember my Dad bought the CD and we were furious by the way the songs and Sebene were cut short, to the point I thought my Dad was the one that was putting the volume down on purpose and then skipping to the next song lol. Come to think of it the Tanzania concert after Zenith must have been the worst in morale terms. Only Three singers two of them relatively new and one animator. No wonder himself Koffi says it was one of his lowest moments of his career.

Did Sam and Modogo perform? I thought they left  Tanzania before the concert having heard that they would be humiliated when they get to Kinshasa? No?

They went first to Zimbabwe and after that they went to Tanzania where they had 3 concerts. Modogo and Sam Tshintu participated to the first two concerts and took the flight back to Europe when the rest were preparing to go towards the stadium for the last concert.

Depitcho accused in this interview Modogo & Sam for already planning their departure, because of not having alot of luggage. But he doesn't know that Babia, Modogo & Sam Tshintu wanted to stay in France, but were kidnapped by Koffi Olomide and his staff. Also they were lucky to get back, because back in those days it was impossible to get a passeport as musician in your possesion. They managed to manipulate the tour-promoter Kayembe Chez Ntemba to get their passeports by saying that they needed it for some shops, but instead of that they called Somono in France and he bought trough the numbers of their passeports some tickets for them to get back in Europe.

I'm surprised that the Academia guys were already having leadership wars even before the group was properly formed, with Sam and Somono already saying that they should be the leaders because of Sam being the president of Flash Musica, and Somono and Lebou saying they should be the leaders due to being founders.

i think the right formula for leadership in congo with is having a leader way older than the rest,every single time over the generations there has been people of same ages there has been issues until the most ruthless of them cemented the groups or it lead to split
even an older guy if there is too much know guys in the group it can allow trouble for example the way the extra musica offshots disbanded despite quentin and oxygene being big brothers
