From 41:00 min promoting the Bercy-event. I remember some JB-fanatics being mad about it, because of not performing at Stade de France like promised after Olympia. Others saying that it would be easy to fill it and that it was a pre-diner for Stade de France.

That's actually funny because Gentamycine was animating in "Y'a Pas Match" (Ndombolo Version 2), "Tobeti Zenith, Olympia plein à plein ooooh, 2001 na Stade De France haaaaaaan" What ever happened to the Stade De France plan before the idea was changed to Bercy?

They were saying that for fun because of the succes of their Olympia & Zénith, but their fans were taking it seriously. JB’s staff didn’t even contact the admin of Stade de France. To perform at Stade de France would have been impossible at that era, because all Congolese artists were poor and not at the level today and they weren’t produced by major labels who could support those events. Labels like Sonodisc, SIPE Production, JPS Production, Somina Music, Ndiaye are to small for that. To perform at Stade de France you have to go into the millions. It was already hard for JDK Decor (for Wemba’s Bercy) and Badive (for JB’s Bercy) to rent Bercy, that’s why they compensate it with ngulu’s and that even not the full capacity (they all rented just 50% of the 17.000 seats). If they gave JB the opportunity to perform at Stade de France in that era, I doubt that he would even fill 50% of the stadium, because back in the days the Congolese diaspora wasn’t big like now also JB hadn’t the notoriety Papa Wemba & Koffi Olomidé had in other African communities of Europe.

The funny thing about it is that the BGBG-camp were mad when they discovered that Werrason would perform
at Bercy before them and Roger Ngandu & Blanchard Mosaka trying minimize it, saying that
Bercy was nothing. Comparing it to performing Terrain Municipale of Bandal and YMCA at Matonge and
that they had to wait for JB's event at Stade de France in 2001, which would be the start of JB in world music. 

The same Werra was scared to perform at Bercy, having postponed the event three times, not believing
that he would fill the hall. He had Olympia in his head after the missed opportunity in 1999. But
during a rehearshal before their correction-event of Stade des Martyrs in 2000, his fans had to vote about
which had to be their big event for the next tour (voting between Bercy, Zenith and Olympia) and
the majority voting for Bercy. Ironically, after Bercy Werrason would claim that he had made a record
at Bercy and that they had put it in the book of Guiness World Records, keeping saying it for 20
years long.

Like JB's camp, Werra's camp would already just before double Zenith claim that they perform in 2003
at Stade de France. Bill Clinton even animating it in Fany. But it never came. In 2004, someone of
Werra's staff (I think Eric Lukasi) had made a label for events and concerts and promised to let
Werrason perform at July the 10th 2004 at Stade Charlety (which then the 3th stadium of Paris) with
the press claiming that he was working with Universal. But he wasn't he wasn't professional enough
with the event not taking place and not long after that also Ferre, JDT and Bill leaving after touring
in the U.K.
