Over the last years most of the analysis were that fally was very ambitious and grabbing all opportunities to rise while ferre was talented but lazy and complicated and badly surrounded, but today when i woke up an idea came to me that i have never heard somewhere which i wanted to share
my idea is that ferre  and fally come from  groups having some sort of DNA,koffi has often throughout his career been more popular abroad than in zaire/drc which is why people often say "go abroad you'll know the real value of koffi",even though to adjust to competition at some parts of his career he also cemented strong kinshasa presence, and for me fally is following the footsteps and like koffi  fally is made a strong "comeback" in congo,to extent that tokoss was sung in his concerts of tshangu and co( which in "normal " times was not even thinkable for a second) with the fact that young generation of  kin is growing with that spirit we all had at some point in our childhoods that what comes from abroad is the modern thing but now in a much bigger dimension and it paved way to his rumba album  which had several songs people young people sing a lot partly thanks to that unconscious idea that when  they are done listening to their foreign music they will listen to the one of their own who is into foreign music too which is fally
on the other hand ferre comes from wenge whose strength was more based in kinshasa and europe, yes of course wenge was popular in africa too,but those who witnessed the jb werra war can confirm that the most random kinshasa concert of both at times  could have more impact that concert in africa or europe of some, but now the kinshasa music has been killed by that inferiority complex(even fally's concerts do not create the massive impact it should with his current fame),primus and skol going more and more away from sponsorship of musicians, the myth of kinshasa is completely gone
and its impact can be blatantly seen on clan wenge members, whether its expensive vips or chez ntemba's or the odd concert in popular areas none is given the proper due respect which could last weeks and months into headlines
and ferre now has no kinshasa no europe
for those who can remember the last time ferre was ever seen as being a capable rival of fally it was said that ferre was stronger in kinshasa than fally( between qui est derriere toi to boite noire days)

but this being said that does not exclude anything from the constructive criticism ferre deserves and is given along with the harsh one

One of the major differences between Koffi/Fally and clan Wenge (from 4x4 until today with the new generation) is that Koffi and Fally have this professionalism that is necessary for an artist to be able to produce quality music and be able to export his music to a majority of countries outside the DRC... Since Heritier is with Monsoh he begins to have this professionalism (but not at the level like Fally in A2BM days), Ferre had this professionalism in boite noire days until Seben and Manix days (when he was working with Jeerico label) but when he decided to create his own label and produce his own album he lost this professionalism (and Premier soin interview did not help him...)

What do you mean? Like can you give us an example of their professionalism (Koffi/Fally) and the unprofessionalism of clan Wenge? I mean Fabregas seems much professional, HÉRITIER as well since his first CD, about Ferré yes hé lose a lot of his potential, announcing CDs a date for not having them released, the total lack of care in générique which make générique shitty when he could do way more by making générique on his own etc.

I agree with the Kinshasa and Europe analysis it even explains Ferres determination to stick with “real” Rumba and Fallys willingness to make Tokoos music

I miss those days of bands fighting against each other about who has control over Kinshasa. Giving public concerts with huge crowds at Boulevard Triomphale, Marche de la Liberte in Masina, Terrain Municipale in Bandal, Terrain Saint Therese in Ndjili, YMCA in Matonge, Terrain Asossa in Kasa-Vubu, Cinemax, Palais du Peuple and those concerts in the summer at FIKIN.

This all wouldn't have happened if the concert-ban in Europe came. local coupe decape started to take over in nightclubs from 2006 and Nigerian music from 2008, but youngsters didn't had that inferiority complex yet. When the concert-ban came, it coincides with the rise of popular French artists who had a Congolese background, who were also coming to Kinshasa, making a huge impact. Congolese bandleaders based couldn't coutner back, because they were stuck in and their musicians not being able to get expensive cars, clothes, spending money like water in nightclubs, making tv-appareances, because they weren't going to Europe anymore. The young generation not dreaming about them anymore and at some point, putting them on the same level like those local dj's, musicians who were doing urban music, etc. while 10/15 years ago they weren't taken serious. Guys like Inoss B and Gaz Mawete wouldn't get the succes they have today, if were active in 2000 or 2005.

You know there is something that separates Koffi, Fally from Wenge musicians, I agree with professionalism of course (We all saw formidable poster)........ I think its some sort of charisma Koffi alone ge can shine same as Fally but Wenge without influential atalakus its a challenge.......... If you just go back to old music videos look at Wenge then look at Koffi you will see the huge difference. Koffi and Fally are Classy (from dressing to work presentation) High chances Heritier will take tge same route.

I mean professionalism when for a single or an album several consecutive dates/periods are announced and the day announced, there is nothing which came out. Like Archos said there is also the fact of not trying to build a strong fan base first in Kinshasa and then elsewhere in Europe or other African countries, like Jeffrey said there is also this charisma that Koffi and Fally has who help them a lot to "sell" their image. In Clan Wenge, in the past JB and Werra had this charisma since Wenge 4x4 and to an extent Ferré had this charisma since qui est derriere toi until boite noire days... Fabregas is not a good singer in my opinion but at least he is the one from the clan wenge who has this professionnalism of respecting the release dates of album, doing good poster of album, being productive and I think if he had a producer/manager like David Monsoh behind him surely he would have reached another level... And for professionnalism, I would also add the fact of doing an "aggresive" marketing when they release a project ("to invade" social networks, radio, channel tv...) And the MAJOR fact is to have like "Bureau" guys like Marchouse who attract hate on Ferré while he is a discreet and shy guy and to have peoples on your bureau who don't even know how to sell your image in the Congo and even less in Africa, Europe and America

Kofi was more famous in most countries in Africa because of his marketing strategy and promotion. Koffi used to release quality video of each of his release, in the period between 1994-1996 we had Papa Plus, Magie, V12, and non from Wenge. I was a die hard fan of Wenge and the only VHS i could get were poorly recorded live shows. One day my brother asked me to remove a Wenge live cassette I was watching so that he could watch other things telling me that Wenge is not organised. it was until Pentagon that Wenge released a full VHS album and that year they went toe to toe with Koffi. Feux d Amour was well received but again lack of VHS placed it behind Loi and Salanoki of Defao.

In 1999-2000 Maison Merre outsmarted Kofii, because of the video of solola Bien that was shown on MCM and local televisions. Solola bien was the first good quality video from clan Wenge and that year Werason was received as a King when he toured Tanzania.
