Because before this, Jules Kibens had some certain respect although not having the charisma most singers had in bands like Maison Mère, Nouvelle Ecriture and Quatier Latin. He earned the respect because of the way his vocals had deep meanings like the one he did in Papito Mbala and Mohammed Kaniansy and also the way he was singing a little bit like King Kester Emeneya before changing it in Internet. But the moment Fally Ipupa and Jordan Kusa dissed him, he lost all the credibility and most people started to mock him. It also indirectly started war against mikuli's within BCBG.

Btw why did Fally Ipupa and Jordan Kusa not go hard on Tutu Kaludji who dissed Koffi the most ? Was it just because of Kibens saying that he went to Bordeaux and claiming that Koffi never studied there when talking with people living there?

Loool this was the beginning of the end. Kibens was so different from all the musicians from other bands, if you notice he never changed his look he always had the same low haircut style, never grew braids or dreadlocks which everyone else was doing, never had earrings. He looked awkward to rival that generation of guys he was more suited from the 90s era and would’ve been a better fit to rival of Sam Academia generation in Latino or Defao Big stars. But not that generation of Fally in Latino or Ferre era of Maison Mere.

Because of all the reasons I already stated. He was in the wrong generation just look at him and compare him to the musicians of QL of Effrakata or the golden Maison Mère team who were younger and had the looks and charisma. As a leader would you want someone like that in your band to to against all those strong rival groups like Maison Mere and QL?

Everything like CM Prince, because first people weren't really paying attention it until Fally Ipupa and Jordan Kusa exposed him and everybody paying attention it.

Nobody knew back than knew that he was JB Mpiana's songwriter only people who were close to them. Its only recently through interviews of multiple artists that were in BCBG or 4x4 that Kibens used to write songs for JB Mpiana.

I don't have a favorite song that are released under Kibens' name, because I see them all as normal and ok.

Not exactly singing like Kester, but that style of breathing alot when singing like Kester used to do back in the days. Jean Apocalyps also used that way in his first years with Nouvelle Ecriture. Just listen to his vocals in Papito Mbala & La Rose Verte. But than suddenly after TH he changed and wanted to sing like singers from Haiti and Martinique/Guadeloupe where you got the music-genres Kompa and Zouk used to sing back in the 70s and 80s and in Anti-Terro wanted to imitate those singers from Guinee Conakry/Senegal. I think that their genre is called Mbalax. Thierry Apocalyps of Quartier Latin tried to animate in that style in the generique of Danger de Mort, but his voice couldn't really imitate it. 

yeah it was papa wemba who advised him that he had to change his style because at the end of his career people would forget him because he's just a kester copycat and nothing more so he created that new voice different to what he's used since the early 90's

It reminds me of Papy Bastin, didn't Roga Roga coach him to change his voice a bit to not sound like a Kester copycat? Papy Jah and Ferre Gola sound so much alike when they hit the high notes, it's pretty impressive
