What was the motivation behind Terrain Eza Mine ? Back in 2000, Solola Bien had crazy succes and was number one from its release until TH came out. Although announcing Kibuisa Mpimpa as next project and Solola Bien still going strong, Werrason and Maison Mère decided to go back to the studio when they were preparing Bercy.
But why did they do that ? Was it because still having a contract with Monsieur Ndiaye who produced Force d'Intervention Rapide ? Or was it just to counter TH, having also backed Adricha Tipo Tipo who came with H.T. (Haute Tension) ?
The album itself is a remix version of Force d'Intervention Rapide. The only difference is that there were new generiques; Terrain Eza Mine & Bana Bazolia Te (they named it just Intervention Rapide) and a remix version of Voyage with vocals from MM-singers and new coming Burkina Faso Mbokaliya on the lead. From the songs that they took from Intervention Rapide, only Mission Impossible didn't saw any transformation. They just released the full sebene. On Fredy Movadi and PDG Makambo they added some sebene with cri's like Bana Bazolia Te which was hot at that time and Tatu Kansebu. Kalayi Boeing stayed intact but they corrected the bassline on the sebene, Bill modified Maman Marie-animation and added cri's like You-You and Shofele towards the end.
The album did not had the same succes like Force d'Intervention Rapide and Solola Bien, wasn't able to fight TH and Longue Histoire volume 1 & 2 and saw itself being slapped by Force de Frappe and A La Une who were released in the same period. Some were not even aware about this album.
The album itself helped Adolphe Dominguez who just left, to promote himself and start Wenge Tonya Tonya due to the remix-version of Voyage along with the songs Tiens Moi La Mains who came out on the nzong-nzing album Kuma Kukiele which was made with several artists such as Theo Mbala, Didier Lacoste, Serge Mabiala, Volvo Lukebuka, Patient Kusangila, Malage de Lugendo and Burkina Faso Mbokaliya.
I liked Kibuisa Mpimpa as album alot but I was still surprised to not hear the cri "Bana Bazo Lia Te" in it since that Bill used to animate it alot in Kinshasa-concerts during the Solola Bien era.
