Wenge El Paris rejected a lot of talent. Did these guys all fail their test or were they rejected for other reasons? I know some groups give special favor to musicians based on where they're from (Bandal, Lemba).

erge Mabiala is one of the best singers of his generation. When I listen to albums from Wenge El Paris aside from Celezino, Charly Chaplin, and Mande Chante, there's nothing really special about the vocals.

Serge Mabiala was accept in El Paris but chased away by Manda Chante when coming to the rehearshal. Gessan Sakoko,  Spino la Djatence & Anthony Sampaio spent some months in Wenge El Paris but if Depitcho or Manda don't like it, you won't spend a long time in the band.

Do they feel regret when they see those guys find success in other bands? Because aside from their first two albums, Wenge El Paris always flopped with each album and concerts

They don't regret because El Paris was very popular back in the days and most focus was on Marie Paul, Manda Chante and Depitcho.

All concerts Wenge El Paris made in Kinshasa in 1992 and 1993 to their return to Europe in 2000 were huge succes. They were the first in Clan Wenge that started to perform in stadiums (Stade de 20 Mai in 1999, 1997 & 1996, Stade de 24 Novembre..) and l'Esplanade de Palais du Peuple (1992, 1993, 1997 & 1998) and crazy crowds everywhere. Marie Paul just had to walk on the street with a soccerball and everybody would follow him like them being hypnotized and screaming "roi pele, roi pele, roi pele". They had fanatics called "ba ndimi" who were really crazy and agressive (they were like the way Maison Mere-fans were of 2001 to 2015). Things just went wrong in concert the moment El Paris arrived in Europe.

Albums like "En Live" (1993), Couvre Feu (1998) and Le Monde Envers (1997) were a big succes. En Live gave a taste for their tour in 1993. Le Monde Envers made Wenge El Paris being voted as best group of year and Manda Chante best singer of the year because of the song Ibrahim. Couvre Feu made El Paris tour to countries like Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and Kenya, being invited at Fespam 1999, Bizima Kondos being voted as best atalaku of the year, Marie Paul voted as best star of the year, Manda Chante as best singer, Couvre Feu best album of the year and Wenge El Paris as best band of the year.

KO Debout "Carte Jaune" started well but it ended up by flopping because of Claude Mussay being put in jail while he was the exectutive producer (Marie Paul accused the MM-camp for snitching to get him in jail). The tour that didn't go well also not helping (it fought against the promotion), the conflict of Zacharie Bababaswe and Marie Paul and El Paris being far from Kinshasa so nobody being there to make alot of noise on tv.

Eboulement Totale was better received than KO Debout "Carte Jaune". It was n3 in the music-charts. The problem with the album was that when the album started to get succes because of the song Amanda Duchesse, the executive producer Somina Nadim started getting threats and him being asked to stop promoting the album. They had to record clips for the album, but it didn't happen anymore. Not long after that Marie Paul started to get private problems, the majority of El Paris had already left the album before the recording of the album after Eboulement the remaining part started to leave El Paris one by one.

They're both singers for Wenge El Paris. I believe he's saying that those two are quickly forgotten because their time in El Paris was when the successful period was long gone.

Yh, I totally agree!! He should really focus on his album!! And speaking of his album Mungonge, I heard that he's got 2 songs and 3 video clips launching soon!! Realite and Qui Vivra Monera are both out already so very soon he's releasing the music video of Qui Vivra Monera, the générique Mungonge and there's a seben called Le Baron!

Kene Kene (today pastor), Charly Chaplin and Arc en Ciel Zola were all three singers of El Paris. Arc en Ciel Zola was singer that sings almost like Manda Chante and had the song Torture d'Amour on his name. He made multiple solo-projects but nothing works.

Charly Chaplin is the guy who looks exactly like Savanet Depitcho. Charly Mwamba is an excellent singer and the best dancer of the group. He has the songs l'Os des Os and Missive on his name and sung lead on guitarist Pitshou Santiago's song Clementstone z-3. He recently worked with guitarist Pitshou Santiago for an electro-live, but nobody is paying attention to it. He had good best vocals in La Vie & Facile a Garer.









Kene Kene Mukena  today a pasteur john, was a singer coming from Nouvelle Ecriture. He normally to be 3th singer of NE next to Bendoson and Pompom Miyake. But Reddy wanted to see late Iboss "Le Grand Mbati" in his place, which made Kene being reserve along with another guy called Blaise . They were not  allowed to sing yet but just to be there. Kene Kene decided not long after that to leave and joined El Paris. He was oldest among the singers of the Couvre-Feu generation. Kene Kene had the song  "j'ai vu, j'ai vaincu" on his name which is a 'true story' about a donor who got almost kiled by rivals working the diamond-business. Like most musicians of the Couvre-Feu generation, he dissapeard after his departure.



The only person that of El Paris that everybody keep talking about is Celezino. But its mostly because of him insulting people since the vita-imana days, still continuing until this day and not because of his singing-skills. Celezino came from Manda Chante, Marie Paul put him on the europe-list as reward because of the way he used to attack Manda Chante and Adolphe Dominguez on tv (Adolphe used to ignore Marie Paul when being asked about him since that Marie Paul started to attack everytime from 1999).
