It’s rare to see Congolese artists perform in Spain. They mostly go to Italy and Portugal from the late 1980s until that the concert-ban came. Because of the Lingala-speaking community being bigger of there than that of Spain

Normally, I would be surprised that Italy and Portugal have their own combattants but seeing as we have our own combattants here in the UK, I'll just assume that it's a western European thing.

I remember back in 2011 that Fally planned an event in Barcelona or Bilbao with his band and even there the concert getting cancelled because of combattans. You even had them in Australia & Japan. Luciana Demingingo saw his shows in Japan being cancelled back in 2011 and JB Mpiana somewhere in 2013 when he wanted to plan a concert in Australia. The most extreme after those of London were those living in South Africa until 2015/16 when money started to come in. Congolese people in living in Angola also tried to have a bastion in Luanda but it didn’t work because of many donors living there and them not having the freedom those combattans in South Africa had. One joke and get in prison or you disappear.

It was mostly because of anger the way started going in DR Congo during Joseph Kabila’s regime. Congolese people feeling that music and religion was distracting from the problems that were in Eastern Congo and the Kabila regime. So them starting the ban for musicians, pastors and politicians. The musicians, pastors and gospel singers make people more angry by supporting Kabila during the 2011 elections. Most in Western Europe moved on after 3 years. But those knowing the musicians personally and having issues with them still kept until this day

temps present here being announced for december 2007. but the album ending up by coming out in june 2008. why all that time ? was it because of the rise of deplick, cafe roum and fabregas in kinshasa ? and that of lobeso on the same time ?

temps present wasn't well promoted by duo d'enfer. there's no maison mere album of the 1998-2011 period that had such bad promotion. i dont know if the conflict that duo d'enfer (adrien mukiadi & papy mukiadi) had with werrason is part of it. apparently they were already in bad terms when they starting recording the album. they were the same who organised the 2006-07. the tour started really bad because of the two concerts in paris getting cancelled because of combattans and the third one in brussels getting sabotated by the same combattans. werrason saying that he hadn't make big money from the tour because of that.

It is our fault looool, the thing is though the police in the UK here a lot more strict than the ones in Paris. I don’t know if the ban will be as hectic as it was for Heritier’s olympia or their attempted one at Fally’s Bercy because the police don’t play with terrorism here.
I still wonder how Fally’s 02 Brixton Academy concert would’ve went, but I guess we’ll only know if he tries to come here again. But at the same time it will be tough because it’s closed at the moment because of that Asake concert where 2 people died from being crushed due to it being overcrowded because of the security.
