I don't think anybody tunes in for Manda Chante unfortunately, he is just lucky he gets thrown on a lot of money from governers but musically he is really wasted not because of his music who is really good but because he can't market himself, so yes Combattants won't do anything.
It doesn't matter. Many combattans hadn't forgotten how pro-kabila Manda Chante used to be.
Manda Chante was in 2006 seriously beaten by combattants in London and was humilated on internet. They spit on him and they forced him to kneel down. The incident of Manda Chante made many bandleaders afraid to go to London for years, them often hiding when visiting familymembers or donors/friends over there.
This created also a kind of a trauma for Manda Chante because he hadn't returned to Europe since then. Over years combattants would sometimes mention his name because of not being happy how he used to praise Joseph Kabila on tv or talk about about them.
