Released in the spring of 2007, the album would cement Kevin Mbouande as the undisputed leader of Patrouille flagship as their rivals Patrouille des Roots and Favelas Stars would be short-lived. On this album, Tresor Mvoula and Jules Chigard are excellent on the album's choruses, each give memorable performances on their own songs. Even Moustapha Thuram surprises as a decent singer, he is their longtime choreographer, with his best vocal is on Charge Moi Bien and his song being my favorite sebene of the album. As always Biraman is a beast, he had me dancing with all his animation!
If there's any criticism, I would say it's the acoustic of the drums. I feel like the audio engineer could have mic the percussion section better because you can appreciate the drummer's technique and power on their first three albums. Aside from the snare, the tom(s) sound like the drummer is playing on a pile of books instead of a proper set. I know the album was recorded in Dakar and mixed in Paris, but I believe Quartier Latin Integral recorded their own same way and the drums were well mic.
I could be nitpicking...as a drummer, my ears catch those details. At the time of this album's release, they're roughly nine years in the game so I understand this wasn't going to be on the level of Embargo and Correction. It's a good album.
