I think that if Blanchard didn’t go to Academia (where Pathy Bass ended up by rejecting him), he would go to Bercy instead of Binda Bass. In the Droit de Veto cassette they gave him time to talk like all old members while Binda Bass wasn’t given that opportunity

Its always a mystery to me what happened with binda so that he misses attentat and silawuka plays alone,then like you said could have missed bercy,chado ended up being in academia at the worst moment 4 coins kandala when things were getting complicated already ba ngulu and all that
i think pathy did not really like anymore being with a strong bassist after the "trauma" of being left behind so much for chado and binda,even with silawuka i think they only played together in integral "by coincidence"and it did not last and in academia too they did one year max together
i would not be surprised if its diatila(eddy badiata) who again " asimbisaki ye touche" with the idea of going to academia because of his very close friendship with sam,knowing that it would backfire hard if he returns,like how tchetche de bal says he got punished because they lied on him that he said that sam was bigger than koffi while already back in latino

Is it really sleeping with a dancer that killed Rocky Blanchard's image in Koffi's eyes? Because Bouro Mpela, Depitcho, and JF Ifonge slept or dated dancers but they never got the cold shoulder quite like Rocky.

Koffi must be a very charismatic guy because I couldn't understand returning to a group and constantly being left behind for tours and albums. After joining Zaiko, he should have stayed there especially with the beef between Koffi and their leader at the time

JF Ifonge was punished and not allowed to participate in the attentat recordings (thank God lol), Bouro lost his position of being next to Koffi on stage then left right before the monde arabe recordings. Depitcho never dated a dancer or if he did he wasn’t caught lol he was married to miette shegue and it’s because of their toxic relationship she left QL and joined BCBG.

Because Rocky was meant to be at Olympia but didn’t get a visa on time and Binda was still in Kin with Modogo, Rosette Kamono and they arrived the same day of the concert, you can even see Binda is wearing a white shirt instead of the hoodie. Such bad luck for Blanchard because the guy is a beast on bass.

He had also the chance to go to Zenith 2001 as Binda Bass back up player. In the video of 'Les Coulisse de Grand Ecole' you can see him playing and talk a bit. When former singers talk about the preparations of Effrakata, they also cite him among the guys that contributed alot. However, Koffi didn't bring him. Probably because of fearing that he would run away after not having been to Europe for 6 years, also all back-up bass players Pathy Bass and Clovis Nguma (he became the main bassist before leaving) having ran away

Binda Bass had problems. But Koffi could still bring Blanchard to play in Droit de Veto and Zenith. There are bands that brought singers and guitarists to the band later in Europe
