I wonder if the story that Shella told that Ikea was originally a duet between him and Koffi is true. Because I think that Jos Diena also said something like that and that the vocals were erased.

What made Kalo Bass become like the 4th or 3th bass-player of Tonya Tonya ? Because you had also Fiston who came from Wenge Maison Mere (Mimiche stole his spot as main-player), another bass-player who was like their back-up and Michel Bass. I would like to know much more about Tonya Tonya's birth. I already followed Papy Kaniama talking about it 3 years ago with Teddy Mola. When Shella talked about how Adolphe gave him 10 dollars to rehearse at his house after his test in Maison Mere, I had immediately the image in my head, how they were rehearsing the songs Do and Psaumes 123 in the documentary. Here Shella Mputu says that Adolphe already told him that he would leave once being in Europe and start his own band. Some say the same thing, but you have also others who say that Adolphe wasn't preparing to leave. It's there that Sankara probably took the chance to snitch him to Werrason in the hope that he would get in Europe and in meantime praising Adolphe on tv, etc. Once being in Europe ignoring Adolphe and insulting him like Bill and Ferre did, which Adolphe alluded in the song Volvani of Clan Wenge "Le Vallois, Saint Vallois omoni ndenge petit nayo a changele nga face na mikili ?"

from 9:19 min

I was surprised to hear that Ramazani and Corean Polystar were part of SVP La Gamme in the beginning. It has been said several time that Champion Djikapela was part of La SVP Gamme, but for me it still feels weird, because I'm used to see him around Lemba-guys and musicians that have a past in Quartier Latin. Even when he started to back Papa Wemba in Europe it felt weird. Interesting to hear that before SVP La Gamme, Shulay having a band calling a band Molokai Stars (Champion also being part of it). I'm still thinking about Champion's interview with a journalist from Brazzaville (I don't know his name anymore) and him saying that he didn't had any Congolese drummer as rolemodel.

So Dilu Dilumona's album Tour de Babel was recorded in two parts. One part before Pepe Kalle's death and one part after his death. Because I remember Lofombo saying that he played bass on the album, but it was never released (probably only meant for the European market). It's crazy to hear Shella Mputu as atalaku. His voice is also different when animating

I had already a feeling that the song Molili (Mon Amour) was that of Shella Mputu. Because he was already singing in those compil-cassettes that had different interviews of bands in Kinshasa. In other interviews Shella said that he got fired because of him dating Adolphe sidechick Irene, but here he didn't say that and that it was because of the fight with Mbonzo. Did he receive indirectly a call to not talk about her anymore? But what I don't understand is that it was already know by many that he was dating her. So why would get he mad. Also what was Mbonzo's role in Wenge Tonya Tonya next to be a spokemen ? Did he had the same role like Sankara behind the scenes, that Hassan Tseke was alluding to ? Because I remember Thierry Finite once saying that Taddet and co, wanted to do the same thing to him, what they did to Bonbon Kojack, but Mbonzo alerting him when seeing his picture in the house of a witchdoctor next to other musicians that were blocked.

Was Rami Amisi into dark business ? It was really selfish from Adolphe Dominguez to abandon them in the prison like that. Imagine if nobody adviced them to contact the Congolese embassy, then they would have spent much more time in jail. That must have been traumatic of sleeping next to urine on the flour.

for joss koffi gave him the lyrics and he said no wait for his wife milolo to arrive with the lawyer to sign his contract first
so it was because of irene telling him not to sing in droit chemin that he did not participate

That make sense. Because for years I was wondering that if Shella was close to Fally how could he  not sing on Droit Chemin. His ‘ex wife was a bit like a curse for him on the end, because she used to date another man on the same time, who ended up by becoming a deputy that year, the guy had apparently also a song on Danger de Mort. So when Shella returned, there was a ban on his song Diviser par Deux on all radio and tv-stations in Kinshasa, because of that man corrupting the censorship commission. It has been said that after Shella’s departure from Quartier Latin, the same man sended soldiers to Shella’s house to rob him, Shella losing everything and almost died.

The situation of his band going to Soyo (Angola) was strange. Did they had a visa ? Or was it just 12 ?

Interesting that Fally tried to get Shella to join him in forming a group, looking back I understand why Koffi dumped Shella and Montana in favour of les mineurs and Joss and co. It looked awkward having both Montana and Shella next to him on the mic whilst he should've just had one of them but not both. Adolph really mismanaged Tonya Tonya the fact they were only top for a year is crazy.

I think Montana and Shella made QL look old like BCBG. It was time for a change because they were the remaining of the old guards. Koffi and Werra were always cognizant of looks in ways that other groups weren't

It’s true, this concert was the perfect example I remember when I first watched it I was thinking why’s Shella next to Koffi? Montana I understand but Shella? Loool but credit to Montana he did try but he belonged more with the Fally generation
