She did a great job

I've noticed that since Koffi chante Tabu Ley and Ferre Gola's Lipanda, upcoming artists and those who have left their bands, put more energy in singing songs of stars/legends and not really into releasing new songs to make their name bigger. Back in the days it was a bit rare to see artists that left their bands, see them sing songs of other artists. Even those who wanted to make their name, they would mostly come with their own songs. If they hadn't enough songs, they would often wait to release their album on the market or just perform the new songs.  Those who used to interpret other artists would sometimes even being mocked for doing it or not more being taken serious anymore, calling them musicien ya kossa-kossa or saying that they were not ready to succeed. But now nobody is ashamed for it and it's seen as normal.
