No, it gives the person making the crime a bad reputation. I mean most serial killers are white and either European or American but yet I have never seen anyone say that white person is giving white people a bad name, as Congolese people we are individuals, if a person decides to commit crime and is Congolese is a problem of that SPECIFIC Congolese person. Him committing crime and talking about it is HIS problem. Us as Congolese people our reputation is intact cause as I have said we are individuals, every person is responsible of his own actions

Individuals do crime and they share observable characteristics that people take notice of. In 2019, Black people made up 26.6% of arrests, but only 12.2% of the US population. To make sweeping judgement is not always a good thing but let's not pretend people don't do it and why. We're smarter than that

The perception of Black man and criminality in the states comes from a  long tradition of racism and discrimination in which  Black people has been subjected since the start, despite they lynching, killing, discrimination, 400 years of Slavery, brutal Slavery I will add, that Black people have went through America the Black man is always perceived in a certain way. Why? Because America whether people like it or not it is a racist country founded by slave owners who wanted for things to go that way. The American constitution when America was founded said that a Black person was 3/5 of a man, and also created the myth of Black people having giant penises because their brain was too small and didn't develop leaving room for their physique and eexual reproductive organs to grow and become big in place of the Brain.
After that there was a long tradition and history from what is commonly called as White America (even tho tbh it will be better to be called Racist America, cause there were always whites who opposed to Slavery, lynching and all the bad things white people used to make go blacks) of using the black as Entartainment at the detriment of the black person.
Slavery was the backbone of the South of the United States and many Southern newspaper like The Charleston Mercury and The Richmond Enquirer pubblish many pieces in defense  of Slavery and from 1830s, there was the beginning of the production of Minstrel shows.
Literal shows created with the sole purpose to humiliate, dehumanizing, and desrespect Black people. Only white actors painting their face in black and acting like an "African American" or like they used to say back in the day like a N word(I will not use that word, I hate it)

These were extrmely popular among white audiences and these shows popularized characters like Jim Crow or the coon songs songs in which they were mocking how black people accordi g to them would act.
The nail in the coffin of all these hate and racist propaganda was the Birth Of A Nation in 1915, where black people (played by white actors in black face) are shown as sexual deviants towards white women who are unintelligent and the big Clan (KKK)  as the force of order who will save America from these black people and restore white supremacy.
I could go on for hours but this is a small example of why the Black man is depicted this way in America, we don't have to feel bad if a person of our own group does something bad, cause racist propaganda convinced us that if one does bad it looks bad upon us, no, they made the choice to commit a crime and it is on them.

If that was the case then from now on white peoole should be grouped togheter wherever one of them commit a mass shooting, rape a woman, or does harm to individuals
