Here Asitou Mbo saying if you wanted to let Koffi perform in Kinshasa, you had to pay $2000 dollars for concerts and that when Claude Makelele came in 2001, to celebrate his birthday at GHK, Koffi received 3x the amount (€6000) dollars. If Koffi was getting this amount in the early 2000s, how was he able to pay his dancers, singers, admin and bodyguards ? It shows that music, wasn’t his main income.

I wonder if Maitre Matshuda (one of Koffi’s bodyguards), didn’t get the idea to get Assitou Mbo into Quartier Latin after hearing his shout-out in Sanction, as a way to already destabilize their team in Kinshasa before Academia’s arrival.

I feel how Koffi did Zobozi and him (Asssitou)  dirty by letting them think that will go to Europe and also traveling with them to Brazzaville, to leave them behind on end without money. Johnny Co (Koffi’s brother) traveling in Assitou’s place and a ngulu in that of Zobozi’s. In this interview Assitou reveals that before the Affaire d’Etat-trip, Koffi was singing a song on his a guitar for late Zobozi, singing “Zobozi I know what you’re searching for (Europe)” (and singing inside himself “but your are not going”)
