According to Tyty le Vallois, singer/ghostwriter Roi Babel passed away. He used to sing in Victoria Eleison, Tambour le Vallois, Wenge Reference, Zaiko Langa Langa, Wenge El Paris and Madilu's band. He also used to back Papa Wemba and Reddy Amisi for the different concerts they gave in the period of 1993-1995, before creating Nouvelle Ecriture. Next to it, he gave alot of songs to different bandleaders.

I was hoping him one day to get interviewed by Mbuta Likasu or Christelle Kande. But he sadly never got the chance to talk about his career

In Victoria Eleison, he just participated in some tracks of Mokosa. When he rejoined in 1997 after King Kester Emeneya's return to Kinshasa, he got quickly fired after saying that Emeneya didn't sung well, during a rehearshal.

With Madilu he had a vocal in the song Volume II, where he sung alongside De Souza, as guest. He also had a vocal in the song C'est La Mort, towards the end.




In Wenge El Paris, he sung as guest on the song Etienne Mundele from the album K.O. Debout 'Carte Jaune'. In the same album he wrote the songs Fusee Diata Bawu and Barre de Fer Kiangana for his friend Dello Bass.



When Nouvelle Ecriture got created, he wanted to join, as he was already backing Papa Wemba and Reddy Amisi for their concerts in Kinshasa. Also he though that he would fit in since that he was doing Luciana Demingongo's role. But according Pinos in an interview he made with Vincent Tshiluizi, Papa Wemba wasn't liking his gestures when was singing
