didier mukeba kalonji aka bill clinton,nsengu ku di bende,macintosh,mufalme de kamitruka,virabandra....was born oN 4th of july in 1979;he is the son of papa kalonji mukeba albert and mama bilonda kabengele and is the nephew of former DJ and now journalist joseph kabengele aka djo k
he is father of three kids,kurt,bilnat and billiane and married to nathalie okuka-kalonji aka mama bonheur and the brother of atalaku mukendi kalonji aka kilimandjaro
he grew up between kinshasa and his village in the region of kasai and since his early childhood years was already impressing with his dancing,especially on holidays when he visited his grandmother in village and was replicating the moves of traditional dancers
nevertheless,like all kids of his age,he was going to school but was often sent off as him and some classmates were singing and using the tableboards as makeshift drums
also like all kids of his age,he was following parents at church and this developped his taste for music,even though his parents wanted him to become a doctor
when he entered teenage years,he started playing football aswell in the streets and also did a bit boxing vut the passion of music was growing as he saw older guys singing and doing animation,and he started following them,painly playing shaker for a few minutes after coming back from school
aged 14 he really started music in street groups playing shaker aswell and starting to use animation from the older guys
he starts in the group called ABC elegance,then joined group dona beija and later staff london when he developed a bit more his atalaku skills by using the popular animation he learned and mixing it with the tshiluba traditional animation he was hearing when going back to village,alongside the then singer/atalaku gentamicine and two other atalakus who did not make it at big level
in staff london,he often uses animation"situtala" which is already used in big groups,especially by tutu caludji who went through a similar path before his wenge career
his reputation is growing in quarters and he is then approached by another group royaume lifaki where he plays shaker and is the main atalaku
meanwhile,his parents have financial problems so can't pay school for the whole family (12 kids) and this leads to didier abandoning class and spending more time in the streets and doing some street jobs to survive
in 1997, he joins group jolino of switzerland-based jolino kiezowa,where he spends most of the time under order of the chef d orchestre rio de janeiro kazadi,jimmy mbonda,chai ngenge and so on but the fact their leader spends so much time outside makes it hard for him who is desperate for fame and helping his parents to shine
at the end of the year,when wenge musica turns into two bands,bcbg and maison mere,he is brought to werrason for a test and didier impresses so much,the day he met werra he was wearing a shirt with president bill clinton's face which inspired that nickname
when the group records first album intervention rapide,he is credited the generique,composed mainly of former street animations and his own creations(mbuji mayi kananga for example)
he gets best atalaku of the year award,and one year later its a big transformation for bill clinton as his voice has grown and is more rough,in the mould of his idol djouna big one mumbafu and he signs one of his biggest success to date in album solola bien with animation like tatu kansebu,helicoptere...and once again gets award
he heavily participates to choreography of the great show at bercy in 2000,as he occupies both atalaku and choreographer roles,and when one year later his leader werrason records his first solo album bill definitely reaches another dimension,as his style is even more spectacular and he really becomes one of the big stars of the group,and one of the rares atalakus in history with such popularity
most groups if not all from then try to have their own bill clinton who is the most popular atalaku of the post-wenge musica(caludji-roberto) era(in extenso we can even say that many groups tried to replicate his duo with celeo)
one year after that,in 2002,he participates at the mythic double zenith and as usual impresses,and when the group records album a la queue leu leu bill releases his first song outside generiques,style moomberg which is also the name he gives to his style of animation, a folkloric song with a powerful sebene
in 2004,he shines again with the first ever beer ad generique skol tindika lokito,but this very same generique will lead to problems months after
in fact,he accuses his leader to have given nothing from the hefty contract the group got with skol thanks to his animations,and after the UK tour,he remains in europe,and goes to belgium to sort out some personal stuff about his children kurt and the possibility of getting long term papers
few times after he teams up with ferre chair de poule in paris and they rehearse together and slowly the ided of a group comes,and they recruit musicians to form the group les marquis de maison mere alongside jdt mulopwe who recovered form health problems following accident
they record together album miracles which was actually the name werrason had picked for his second solo album forcing him to change name
bill strongly attacks werrason in the generique 7eme lecon which is actually a good and powerful one,and also three songs madame la tortue,trahison and vous me reverrez,in his typical style moomberg
they are seen as a promising group but fastly the devil of leadership appears and the group split,abandoning their initial project of three albums together at least and 10 year contract with producer monsieur simon sipe
bill goes back to kinshasa to sing a 10 year contract with skol beer and creates les samourais along with fellow ex-maison mere colleague thierry synthé and after skol ad kiyoki na kiyoki, records his first album kizobazoba(kizobazoba means mix of different things in one,especially loinclothes with different prints) with song claudine lonzoka where he features as chorists the two future star female singers cindy and meje30
one year after,he records album palpitation totale,and despite still doing animation is more into singing,and also skol ad matisa pression and his biggest success in solo career bompikiliki
in 2008 he releases third solo album tshikimbwa and two years after album mukusa mukongo,where he features his brother kilimandjaro is one of the generiques and his friend ferré chair de poule in the vol 2 named kulumbimbi
after releasing two other skol ads and doing feats here and there bill records album fukushima released in 2013 which gets a decent reception
he is currently working on future album antidote and aims to feature on werrason's fleche ingeta
