he is asked to do a review of his year,and he says there are a lot of positive things because his album was succesful and so was single original but he still has a lot of sadness in him about what happened at kester's tribute festival and the way some people who dont like him tried to use it against him whereas it was organization which was at fault
he said he would not mind returning in kikwit for a concert but this time organization has to be much much better and professional
he would not actually mind playing anywhere in Congo but it has to be well organized in order to avoid similar situations because at the end people put all responsability of those situations on artists' shoulders and that he is really hurt about polemic which surrounded that event
its not only one of the worst memories of his career but also his life as a human being
he says from now on,his group are free to tour anywhere without him as long as producer agrees a deal with the chef atélé kunianga and administrators of the group
he says with that group album he wants to "create" artists,not just " promote his group members", because they will benefit directly from money of their songs, sign contracts with people if they want, not just benefiting from popularity
he says he has nothing against the way the likes of koffi and co promoted musicians of his generation but as a solo artist he wants to do things differently, with his own vision,not just stick to the old way of promoting because its the way everybody does it
he is happy about his songs being heavily played in congolese nightclubs but unhappy about the way foreign music is now dominant over our music even in Congo,and he thinks its because instead of working hard many musicians are losing time in childish polemic
and he does not want to be like them and he wants to make sure that even if decides in near future to stop his career people see through him something new in congolese music
what he wants to do is already done in other countries but he feels he is a bit misunderstood in congo
his musicians actually insisted so that he participates a bit more in their album otherwise he would have participated on few songs and thats it and reveals some of his group members were fearing a bit to release a song without him since he is already well known and his participation alone warrants them more attention from fans and he told them to stop fearing because there is no reason that their songs flop as long as the songs are good and they have determination to promote it
he acted in that album like a member of the group,not like THE leader which is why the promotional cd poster represents them all dressed the same way
he says the group album" libre parcours" will be promoted like his own albums,with spots on trace tv,adboards in streets, good clips ..
naty asks if he did not allow his musicians a group album so that they can "survive" in congo because next year he will be much more into his career with label UNIVERSAL AZ,fally replies giving of papa wemba who took the likes of reddy amisi with him even when touring with peter gabriel and says some of his musicians will follow him,especially some of the instrumentalists because many of them are versatile but if after success of group album some of his musicians think its better for them to go solo its up to them because they are free
he repeats his philosophy of "creating artists" and says in the normal system you can promote a musician as much as you want he remains your musician,you get money like you want from his songs, you do mabanga on his songs and so on and that is part of what he wants to change starting from this album
talking about universal he says they changed the artistic director they had given him because he did not stop him from releasing huge hit original on his own label, and he says somehow it serves them right because they mainly wanted songs in french so they let a huge hit sung in lingala go away like that and now they have understood he could do similar songs under their direction
about power and original he has being touring to promote them( and was in a huge concert in biggest stadium of benin at the moment of naty's show so they recorded interview before) which lead him not to have played a single concert in drc for over 4 months and that he even had to refuse a quite lucrative concert in angola to celebrate his birthday in kinshasa and he wont return to congo until january or february
when group album will be out, he'd have hired managers,press officers to form a professional communication team which will be tasked of album's promotion at local and international level
he does not want to reveal date of release of that album because he wants to surprise people a bit like beyonce did
about the fact he had not played in congo for a while naty asked if it was because he gets better contracts abroad, and he says he is proposed good money anywhere but what explains it is simply the fact he is highly demanded abroad and sometimes when he was coming back it was mainly to spend a bit of time with his family
he agains make clear interview was recorded before the show by saying on 21 of this month he would be performing a private concert in
benin with ticket price set to 1000 dollars and that his group members actually prefer playing abroad because they have votes about which concert to prioritize in some situations and they most of the time pick the ones abroad but it does not mean him and them do not enjoy playing in kinshasa and drc,maybe their next concert in kinshasa will be for valentines day
he is then asked about babia, and he says babia was like a big brother who contributed a lot in quartier latin and they kept good relationship in private even when he left quartier latin,may his soul rest in peace ....but he did not appreciate how once again some people who do not like used his death to create polemic about him,saying that its because he arrested babia's sister that he died and reminds people that babia actually wanted him to participate on his album
he knows very well those who did that,its people who have been trying through many ways to make him fall for a while but he is strong,so they thought creating that type of story would tarnish his reputation but they have failed big time,and if they want to invent things to tarnish people's reputation,they should think twice because those who will listen to it are not stupid to blindly believe everything
he wishes merry christmas to everybody and happy new year,success,money,good health....and sends a message of support to national team of football for AFCON 2015
Also he says from now on he does not want to have concert until morning anymore, so people should come on time so that the earlier concerts start the earlier they finish and those who work have time to rest well and go to work the day after,and he will start his concerts early no matter if hall is full or not but haters should not take profit of it to turn it as if he does not have success anymore because he knows if people do not change their habits they will come when he would have already been performing for over an hour
